I'm not terribly knowledgeable about guns, and my curiosity has gotten the better of me. What's the purpose of an adapter like this?

It's a cleaning tool, to allow you to capture once used cleaning solvent.

It can also be used to attach a silencer made from an oil filter; provided you fill out the proper paperwork beforehand. You'd need to read up on NFA laws. Ridiculous, but that's how it is... This is still just a thread adapter, either way. It merely facilitates the attachment of an oil filter. Use it as a solvent trap, or make a suppressor out of it... The choice is yours, just know your laws and regulations before doing it. The primary intent is to recycle cleaning fluids. An oil filer does this with no modifications. It you modify it to be a suppressor, that's on you to register it. I know I'm being redundant, but I want you to understand, the thread adapter is nothing but a thread adapter, no matter what you choose to do.

A brief synopsis: gun haters require guns to be loud so they can use noise ordinances to restrict ranges. Silencers (properly known as suppressors) are, in reality, an essential piece of safety equipment. Not the 'bad guy' tool that lying politicians make them out to be. Imagine how hard it is to instruct new gun owners while we're all wearing earmuffs... Its stupid. Irritating your neighbors if you practice. The law has a very devious ulterior motive, like most laws... Imagine if it were against the law to put a muffler on your car... That's how absurd this is. But it is what it is...

I have a new design in the works for a much better filter that has never been used in this market before. It will do more than just catch used solvents and lube, it will clean them up. This isn't just some excuse to make silencers out of oil filters. There is a real need for recycling your maintenance fluids in the current political and fiscal climate.

I have a fresh box full of the 1/2-28 for the S373 filter.

Send me a PM with your mailing address, and I'll send you a BTC address.

What size washers are you using in your youtube videos?

What size washers are you using in your youtube videos?

On the STP filters, they are standard 3/4in galvanized washers. On the CAT filter, it's a standard 1in. The rubber washer isn't critical, it just has to cover the holes, or at least the outside edges of them. In the videos, I used the same rubber washer for all of them. If you can't find washers, you can split open a flexible drain pipe connector, lay it flat, and cut whatever size washer you want. Be creative! I made these things so that they don't need perfection to work.

wow, I bet you can barely hear it now when your solvent spills....  *cough* *cough*   If you get one, make sure you get some taller sights so you can aim while cleaning... *snicker* *snort* *guffaw*   Also, don't forget to use subsonic ammo when you "clean"...  *laughter*

Post by: camosoul on April 06, 2013, 02:02:02 AM
I'm still running off of a generator because the good ol' Guv still won't let me have electricity. I was cut off for a few days by a very odd sabotage. While I was at the Post Office shipping out your orders, someone cleaned all the tamper-evident ink off of the valve cover bolt heads, opened the valve cover, pried the intake lifter off of the intake poshrod, left it there, and put it back together. Apparently, I'm not supposed to be smart enough to figure that out? At the same time, I was experiencing super-slow internet access. I began my traceroute and flood-ping tests and realized my modem's gateway wasn't a gateway at all, but an apparent VPN exiting through a node in northern Virginia! I'd been having problems with my BitCoin client's blockchain being complete, but none of the transactions showing... That's when it all clicked. I wasn't just being monitored by some nameless guv rogue agency; I was being actively re-routed and filtered! My ISP was in obvious and very deep cooperation. My blockchain wasn't adding up because it was a fake fed in from this filtered VPN exit! I promptly sent an email to myself describing the fact that I knew someone else was reading it, and had nailed down the IP of the VPN machine. Approximately 4 minutes later my modem reset itself and turned back on with a proper local gateway. My BitCoin client began connecting to real nodes and rewound all the bogus blockchain data and rebuilt. All transactions now show up. Coincidence my generator was sabotaged in a really lame way at the same time all this happened? I don't think so. We all know what's in NOVA... I also got an email from someone speaking bad english taht claimed to be from bagdad, asking questions about my adapters. Ignored my questions about deployment and APO/FPO mailing. Really? How obvious of a setup can that be? Trying to fabricate the notion that I'd be 'selling my adapters to terrorists!" What a terribly discrediting headline that would be! How many times could the media announce that I was "under investigation of helping/cooperating with terrorists?" What a great plan/psyop for alienating me from my military customers... It's not a paranoid delusion of tinfoil-hat crazies, it's happening now. The oblivious/clueless simply claim it isn't happening because they don't know how to detect it. What about YOU? Check out my security page, people. It is important to learn this stuff. TOR is encrypted end-to-end and obfuscated by relay nodes; even such an advanced attack as I experienced would still be totally useless under TOR. Learn how to use PGP/GPG at the very least. Learn how to protect yourself from the New Orwellian Soviet Empire we now live under. It's not a bad dream of the future, it's happening right now. If only they were better at it, maybe I wouldn't have even noticed. I didn't even think it was anything dirty at first. They're just sloppy and apparently think I'm dumber than they are... Wish I could identify "they" a little better tho...
