Hey at least they have some value, relatively speaking.

I didn't lose out *too* much with these drops, and could still sell my existing coin for a pretty penny.

Now if they completely collapse in the near future, then fuck me, this would be almost worse then the car I bought 3 years ago and I should of sold.

On the other hand, im buying a shit ton at $1 all the way down to .00001

--

Im in it for the long run.  I hoping bitcoin can evolve to more then just illegal gambling and black market operations.  This would give it stability, rather then the rampant speculation it is now.

Low fee currency exchange is a good start.
Avoiding the inter-counter payment fees is another.

It already is - it just needs time.

I think the biggest challenge for BTC acceptance will be "the man".  Corporations need to be tax compliant, meaning keeping diligent records of who was paid what, so the IRS can get their cut.  The best thing about BTC may also be it's undoing, anonymity will hinder it's acceptance in legitimate business transactions...

Hopefully I'm wrong

The whole Bitcoin/tax evasion malarkey is overblown. Bitcoin is as good for tax evasion as cash. If you want to do business off the books to escape the tax man you don't need to use Bitcoin to do that.

Glad I was able to grab some while it was down a bit! Although I bought a larger amount two days ago at $11.20, but that's still a bargain.

Well, with cash you need at least some way of delivering it.
Using the postal service is more expensive and significantly more risky than a Bitcoin transaction.

And what's up with your libertarian spirit people? Don't call it tax evasion. Call it doing business in the spirit of self-interest.. or something.
LOL

I agree, but it is not a perspective, it is the truth.

It is an exciting thought. That coindesk article today about hitting $500 asked the same question, will $500 look like a silly amazing deal in one year? All the trend lines and logarithmic point to yes. We could get a massive spike/drop between now and then, but lets hope it just keeps doing its thing.

I'm sure though, that even permabulls back then (including smoothie and myself) would consider anyone predicting $500 by the end of 2013 delusional. I've seen many crazy predictions then, like thousands, but noone predicted that we could approach 4-digit prices this year. No one.

It's like someone saying right now, that in 2014 price would break $25000. Yeah, sure, aha.

"They" are speculating 20000  ::)

So maybe you are not that far off.

I dont see it slowing down unless something drastic happens like a worldwide ban. Other cryptos eg. ltc could slow growth.
