You know, Tor is always better than the common browser, but is very limited, like no flash or stuff that can compromise your position.
Other problem is, why you need to know if it's secure to use tor for web wallets? you must remember that depends on the wallet and, most of all, for blockchain there is even the .onion version
Using tor is way more secure than the common like I said earlier, but if you do real damage or mess nobody can be stopped to hunt you down.

There has been various reports of users having their wallets compromised even with 2FA when using tor. I would not consider it as secure due to the fact that zero days vulnerability (e.g. heartbleed) can steal your bitcoins even with https everywhere enabled. It would be much better if there is an onion link for users to access though.

Absolutely not.

Tor's function is to supply anonymity not security.  If you visit encrypted pages via tor you should still be theoretically safe and have tor's anonymity.

If you visit unencrypted pages you will have anonymity but no security.  In short, you will be at the mercy of unscrupulous tor exit nodes who will have a clear view of your surfing.

Unfortunately, you are at the mercy of exit nodes. Do you really want to access secure pages knowing an exit node could be trying to overcome the encryption or maybe the exit node is spoofing the page you go to regularly.

Not worth the risk. You are far safer investing in a Vpn service.
