this is the second time i have got this error and no email response on how to fix it. soo ill just have to keep creating new accounts each time it happens.

as i said in the post. i get no responses from the emails i sent.

Could you provide the UID of your profile that got banned? Theymos is a very busy person and he probably gets many emails on a daily basis and as result, some emails will be left unanswered how ever as some other members on the other threads have mentioned, you should email him once each week until he notice your email and eventually receive an answer from him

Also don't expect a fast response from theymos or badbear. I learned my lesson when it comes to patience when I had my account locked before because I reset my password with the secret question. Both the guys are busy with their stuffs online and they do have their real life out of the web so be more patient.

If you did do something bad to get your account banned then take it as a lesson.

Ive got better things to do than to keep emailing and begging those 2 to get off their duffs and run their business. there's enough guys like that offshore that i have to deal with.

Then stop comolaining. That wouldn't help at all. It's not encouraged to send multiple emails to them, you.just.have.to.wait. ;)

A forum is an educational tool for everyone in here. I don't think complains amd pestering would be tolerated in here. Goodluck with getting your accou t back with such attitude.  :P

Is this some serious bug or something? Because I see couple posts about this problem all over the meta section now.

If you are nice normally you get better results.   If you goal is to complain and pester until you get account back, I have a feeling you will have a longer wait then someone who is nice to mods.   They are only a few who can do this... they are busy.... so it takes time.

Also you can prevent this by storing your password somewhere safe.  That is your best option.  Instead of counting on reset and wasting time each one of these, just store password safely.

Have you used the seceet question to recover gour account? Many people apart from you are complaining about the same thing. Also, emailing once per week is fine however, if you keep on sending too much queries on email, your request would likely be ignored.

Btw, even in banned accts, you can still log in to your account.

What kind of stuff constitutes a ban? I can't imagine what people do to get banned on here when even scammers don't get banned. You can swear & insult people, I've seen it done any way :)

Spamming the forum/other users (through posts or PM), impersonating others and ban evasion (Using multiple accounts to access the forum when you are banned) are the biggest three I believe. I don't think many other bans happen for reasons other than that.

Most of them gets banned for insubstanial post. They were spamming the forum so the resulting effect is a ban. Now if they created another account and posted outside the meta section, they will get a perma-ban for the ban evasion they did. Also people gets the perma-ban if they will be ban multiple times.

There is also a case that if you reset password with security question, your account will be locked. There is a thread in meta about it. Go read why. ;D

if accounts does get locked because of the secret question (still not sure if it's true), then it's kind of the user's fault if their account got locked for doing something that is clearly not recommended.

also I've been wondering... it says "you are banned from using this forum!" there on OP. does that means he really got "banned" for breaking forum rules or did he got "banned" only for security? I hope a mod can answer this.

Based on the message OP got. It must've been for a security reason. I don't think those people who receives a ban has that message. Also people who gets ban here can't post outside meta, based on the latest post of OP, he can post outside. If it were a ban he could've got a ban evasion because of this so I think it's not for othwr reason other than security measure.

At this point people should not use security word.  I think ever since hack a while back it has not been secure to consider secret question secure.   (Please correct me I could be wrong but I think time frame fits).

The best thing for people to do is treat password to forum like a paper wallet for a private key.  Store it safely, and don't need to reset password.  That would solve many peoples problems.  And it would take 5 - 10 minutes to do a nice paper wallet type and never have to reset again.

Op got trouble because he reset password from secret question..

How about got permanen banned because change password directly?? Because she usually change any of her internet account atleast once in 2-3 months.. She changed her password yesterday and today got perma banned...

If it is a true perma ban it is not from changing password.  Can you post a picture of reason?
