Bitcoin faucet is a website that gives out "free" bitcoins (BTC) in exchange for doing a simple task,
Mostly solving a CAPTCHA, and/or clicking some "hidden" buttons in order to see the claim button.
You can start in https://freebitco.in or check a list here https://faucetbox.com/en/list and experiment and understand how it works, but saying the truth the reward is very small.

Well, if you don't know what a faucet is maybe you shouldn't invest in mining also.

You should learn a lot about bitcoin and everything about it's formal and informal economy before investing in mining.

Mining is a great way to lose money BTW.

You definitely need a faucet for newbies to waste time on and for you to make boat loads of money from page views.  I'm kidding, somewhat. You don't need anything...but if you can set up a faucet, why not?

Good  luck with your mining.

You need to take a deep breath and to start learning and reading about Bitcoin basics. When you get over the most of the basics and you feel comfortable that you understand them, then you decide what you wanna do in Bitcoin world.

Faucets and mining have in common only that they run on Bitcoin and nothing else! Two different world's mate!

Good luck to you!

LOL! Where do you read that? First you shouldn't start mining when you have no idea about that. Second, don't use faucets, they are waste of time. You don't need any faucets in your life.
Read sticky threads here, instructions in Bitcoin.org, do your homework.

And to be honest almost no one but very very few have lots of referrals.  With referrals on a faucet yes you would get paid without doing anything, but this is unlikely.

I highly suggest just buy even a few bucks through a exchange.  Save your self days and day's of faucet use.

you don't need a faucet for mining.Mining is different.for mining you need a better hardware and mining has become unprofitable now.
if you are new to bitcoin then try faucets to earn some.By faucets you can earn few satoshi's every hour.

I think you're definition of mining bitcoins is earning BTC, am I right? I know a lot of newbies on a local bitcoin group on Facebook that has the same thoughts with you regarding what mining is :D Yes you can earn with mining but don't use the term mining to replace the word "earning". Anyways in a faucet, you can earn satoshis (1 satoshi =0.00000001 BTC) there by doing small tasks like solving captchas.

Well most beginners start with faucets so I guess you should need one to earn little BTC to start with your journey on bitcoin world :D Explore also this forum and you'll find more earning opportunities other than faucets. Good luck man!

try to not join the pool with the most hash, to spread the hashpower a little, not that it would matter in your case, because your total hash is very low, but still

here a comparison so you can choose https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools

Faucets are ideal for members who do not want to mine or which do not have the resources to mine.
You do not necessarily need faucets but they are good for starting with Bitcoin.

but the last people say faucet just waste my time ?? and it's true im still using freebitco.in

If you don't have any bitcoin earning method aside from doing faucets then do faucets if you like. You will grow up soon and will gain some knowledge about other btc earning method. Don't rush take your time to explore in this forum.

The question is how much do you value your time?

Plenty of faucets only pay out the equivalent of less than one cent per hour. That's fucking ridiculous. Just because it's 'on the internet' doesn't mean that you're not wasting your real life.

If you sell one piece of old crap on Ebay and use that to buy BTC you just saved yourself many, many hours of pointless clicking that could otherwise have been used for learning languages, saving lives, making babies. Life is short. Don't squander it.

focus only to start mining because that is more worth and more profitable than faucet
and yes i'm agree using faucet is really wasting your time

i suggest sticking to your real life job if you have one, or go apply for one.

then use that to buy bitcoin when the price does fall.

I completely agree .. in btc we have to go step by step to earn big.. so if you dont know what a faucet is.. its better you stay off mining

And it is. Do it for the fun or for the curiosity. But even after hours, you will end with just some cents. It probably won't pay the electricity costs of maintaining your computer powered on to do this.

There is no fun or anything to learn typing capatcha's and getting dust in a wallet.  They would be so much better of even buying 5 dollars of BTC if they are wanting to play around with just a little.

The faucet rate is crazy low, and a waste of time.  You could do a much better time learning a service or something else instead of using faucets.

With faucet , you can learn how to earn and how to use it by understanding it's transaction. Everybody that start bitcoin early were through faucet include me as well. But as we can see that faucet is not worth it very much so don't rely too much

Mining and faucets don't really pay off, not worth bothering and can hardly make a profit unless you have hundreds of reffs and own a faucet, and that's also under the question mark.

You sound like an intelligent idiot, no disrespect.

Why would you tell someone who has mentioned faucets - OK, OP doesn't really understand - but why tell them to go and buy Bitcoin rather than get them free?

Getting free Bitcoin is completely different from buying Bitcoin. I have thousands of referrals on faucets and have only been using them for a year. I run four faucets and now and probably make more BTC than the OP does mining and than you do with your signature campaign.

None of that would have been possible had it not been for faucets.

I earn at least 0.01 per day through Faucetbox referrals - which at my calc is better than the 1TH miner he's mentioned he's buying.

So many BTC snobs in here telling people faucets are a waste of time, when a single run through iFaucet or LetsGetCrypto can get you $1 for nothing.
