After having been one of the very few exchanges to open Ethereum for trading, we were looking for a new way to help Decentralized Applications ecosystem grow.

Over the past few months, we followed Ethereum projects closely. Augur, which may well disrupt forecasting and decision-making, is probably the most outstanding decentralized app built on Ethereum.

The Augur crowdsale was a major success: 5,000 donators gave around USD 5.3 million to finance the Augur project. In exchange, donators received 11,000,000 Reputations (REP), the Augur token (equivalent of Ether for Ethereum). Now that the crowdsale is over, it is impossible to buy or sell REP until Augur is live.

How did we achieve that?

We pooled some of our largest customers to buy REP through our platform, enabling them to list their tokens on our exchange.

As a result, our customers are now the only ones in the world to be allowed to buy and sell REP!
