Title: Giving away $100!
Post by: Ninjahitoko on October 17, 2015, 02:04:34 AM
I'm running a simple lottery where I will be giving away $100
The price for one ticket is $4.

I will using random.org list randomizer to select a winner. (https://www.random.org/lists/)
The person at the top of the list will be declared as the winner.

I will be posting a screenshot of the winning username in the comments.
A winner will be declared on Friday October 23rd 2015
Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Well I have no intention of scamming first of all, secondly it is a lottery. To buy a ticket you pay $4.

yes it could be like that there is always a chance to cheat and i think using an escrow it's necessary here

Get an escrow to hold the $100 AND to select a random number. :)

And by the way, lottery is not a giveaway. Change the title for one.

Please move this to other section, maybe service or gambling, because it doesn't beling in giveaway section, since you are not giving away anything but charging for a service. (see bottom left to move the topic)
Also, the prize should be escrowed and be runned on random.org by a trusted member.

agree with others, get an escrow who will hold the $100 prize money, here's a list of escrows that you can ask to hold the prize money

You should first use escrow and provide the funds so you can be more trustworthy.

Not even giving, you have to pay 4$  :)

@OP: at least you have to make things clear: the name of users (if ever someone will join this) and how to join, ofc the escrow is a must.
Otherwise it is considered as a scam attempt...

Guys, think about the term "giveaway". That almost never means free. Also it's weird how hesitant people are to give up a mere $4. Yes, give up because that is probably what will happen, it's a lottery after all  ;)

Exactly agree with you its like around 0.012 btc for one ticket and bounty is around 0.3btc ....there are many lotteries giving out tickets lower than that .....use escrow moreover its new also....

"Giving" while "taking"...riiiiiight.

I don't quite get the point of the post. How about you pick a random poster and donate to them?
