I found it's very hard to inspire females to use bitcoin.  I tried to invite 20 female friends who are aging from 19 to 45 to use bitcoin by giving them free bitcoin 0.25BTC each.  Only 10 of them accepted.  These ten ladies accept to use bitcoin, but they never talk about bitcoin, they never heard of bitcointalk.org.  What they like to talk are just hairdressing, shopping, keeping fit ...

I'm curious is there any female BitcoinTalker around you?

Around me, I don't even know any other bitcointalker, I don't ask.

As for females, I think right now the only ones interested are the nerdy ones, the ones interested in computers and stuff. There aren't that many of them.

we still have to give some thing offer type what womans like it, like mens like to gamble mostly so the most of the gamble site have started accepting bitcoin, like that if online shoping for female products also starts accepting bitcoin and give offer if they use bitcoin, then i think we can see more womans talking about bitcoin, in their circle.

Really nobody except my wife and trust me she had enough of me and Bitcoin already. :)

But yes not too many ladies are at all in the crypto space. Last I heard is that this is more than 95% male space which is quite shocking.

I don't know really many female Bitcointalkers around me. Females usually prefer to use the fiat because it's looking simplest way for them to make money and earning online. However if we make a little more effort advertising Bitcoin it can help to spread the word about Bitcoin and this way even many female networkers could interest about it

I am a she! lol. :D How do I put this in words? Well it's not true that only nerdy people (regardless of gender) will have interest what bitcoin is. I know a lot of people who has interest in bitcoin, not that deep tho. They take bitcoin as a way of earning online.

I tried to get some people to invest in XPY and they did. But they didnt dump when i told them to, because it was under 20$, for 14$ even though they paid a few dollars for, they could of had a nice ROI, but they wanted to wait for 20$. So they lost all their investment and blamed it on me.

Since then they don't want anything to do with Crypto. Even though ASIC on free electricity for them isint of interest, since "crypto is scam". Heh.

Maybe you should try to give 25BTC free for each, then the result must be different.  ;D ;D ;D

Not really - given the fact that Bitcoin generally requires a reasonable interest in technology (let alone cryptography for proper understanding of the actual architecture) as well as finance which is something that women traditionally have had less of a focus on.

Yes they are my cousin,my sister, and some my friends they were amazed with this technology especially my friends in college since they are so critical about global issues and finance thing, so far they used bitcoin for transaction only, bitcoin is the simplest, easiest means of paying for things online, thats why they like it

Meh i told one woman that she could heat up her place for free with some quiet ASIC, or even profit. She replied exactly; "I don't buy into that BTC thing." Then i pushed a bit and gave her a link, show how small they are.

She saw the S3's "exposed wires" as she said, which was the PWM cable that come out of the fan and goes inside the closed husk.

Then the reason became "my mother barely let me heat up the place, even during winter."

She's nice but when you come up with so many excuses, i think it clearly show its hard for many to adopt it.

But seriously, I've tried countless times to try to persuade, anyone for that matter, to use bitcoins and they basically just see it as some kind of scam.  I don't know, maybe people will start to realize the benefits of cryptos in the future in my little "circle" of friends.. but until then, I'm a lone wolf.

And for women it seems they get interested in the material stuff, they should see and touch it to be reassured that it is real and worthy... but let's admit that the number of bitcoin users isn't that big for the moment.

Girls? I know a few, and they all work in the same exchange. :) They both have bitcointalk accounts but rarely use them. Well as for the general public, I think we must first offer girls something that fits them well (like shopping or lifestyle stores etc.) which could probably boost their interest in bitcoin.

I have been using this forum for more than 3 years... and so I know some of the members very closely. But within my location or neighborhood, I don't know anyone who is currently active in bitcointalk. Some of my friends were active in this forum a few years ago. But they became inactive after getting their coins stolen in wallet hacks or in some scam.

there are many its like they dont come in forum so much ...some of them are so much clever they tried to scammed users.....i dont have the link but a guy lost around 24$ , he went first on paypal and lost his BITCOINS....

Females normally lead different lifes from males, although we do have less of a gender divide now which is great.  I dont see why a female have to work that hard to know about bitcoin as such, its still a great time to be female and a tougher ride for men right now.

Well, I'm a girl and I am on Bitcointalk. :-) Used to read this forum a lot before registering, learned a lot.
At the moment I have 1.12btc on Xapo and about 0.8btc on eToro with leverage.

They will be interested for only so long hearing numbers, women generally like things they can touch see taste smell hear.  Bitcoin is like the opposite.

it is not about being male or female, introducing bitcoin to others and make them interested in bitcoin that they actually start using it is hard.

i say this from experience. i tried convincing my friends (male friends) and it is hard, because not everybody sees benefits of bitcoin and also the lack of places to actually use bitcoin as a currency doesn't help the cause either.

Well, op. My guess is that you're doing it wrong.

If you want someone to be involved with bitcoin in the long term you'd have to find a way to make it appear useful to them. I introduced a female friend of mine that is an artist to bitcoin and she's now accepting it as a means of payment for sketches, not much traffic but she's now an actual user. Rest of my female friends know I'm involved with bitcoin, know what it is but don't get the same joy I do when posting in bitcoin forums. People have different interests, for some girls it's more appealing to post selfies on facebook rather than posting on forums with strangers. With that said though, it's not like no women visit this forum. It's just that gender has nothing to do with bitcoin, especially when posting online so it's not discussed often.

That's a good question actually! To be honest, it's very hard, even for me, to find or to make other girls interested in Bitcoin. Giving out these cute t-shirts was probably the closest I got to getting girl's interest.

Another thing that might work is to explain the reason why the current financial system is so evil and problematic and why bitcoin is a solution to that. Nothing's more exciting than a REVOLUTION to make the world a better place ;) If it's hard to explain or she's too impatient to listen, watch some documantaries like 'all wars are Bankers wars' or the 2nd part of Zeitgeist of 'The Lie we Live'.

One thing I have learned about introducing the Bitcoin topic to women is this :

1. Do not introduce it, when more women is around. <They do not think geek talk is cool, when they are with other women.
2. Do not introduce it, when men are around. <That distract from the primary goal>
3. Individual one-on-one discussions is ok, if she is interested and it should not dominate the discussion.

Social interaction in groups are always a difficult setting to talk about serious topics.  ???

My roommate is a female who I've tried extensively to introduce to bitcoins, but honestly there is just no incentive for them to do so at this point.

Getting a female roommate is the greatest chance to get introduced into bitcoin while you find some leisure time. I guess we should not think of any incentives to make them to attract into bitcoin. Instead there are lot of faucet sites which offer free hourly bitcoins, which will make them to start attracted to bitcoin.

Aren't mothers thrifty shoppers - as a whole - thus via Bitcoin some product lines are cheaper? Don't some have kids goin' to college that may need money every now and then where Bitcoin is cheaper to remit? Aren't there some women who own businesses that would love to save on credit card fees? Gamers you say? There is tremor games where you can get paid by the games you play in it. Also if I am not mistaken there are some rpg games where you can exchange ingame currency for bitcoin. They might consider going back to using bits. :D

To be honest i have been trying to get my wife, daughter and all their friends to look at bitcoin.
All these woman just smiles politely and often just say 'Show me the money, so i can spend it' ...
When i start talking about the blockchain and what they need todo to actually use it ...
They all look at you like ' Water is burning'  and say 'Pffff way to complex'
Have been giving away alot of friends a usb stick with back then $25 value of bitcoin,
everyone of them either lost the coins by scams or the coins had been stolen by hacks.
I am pretty sure most here who claim to be girl/woman are just men dressed like a woman or faking to be a woman to get benefits from pretending :D
Or they are married to one of the richer bitcoin lads who have several companies in the bitcoin industry.
The only real way to get a woman to use "crypto" is to give her a debit card preloaded by men ;)

I only know male bitcointalkers. More women should use Bitcoin, they are more into things like online shopping compared to men, so Bitcoin is perfect for them. At the same time, they also like going into shops and seeing things in person. I think women aren't bothered to come onto this forum.  ;D ;D ;D

yes there is a friend of mine who uses bitcointalk and also have some miners in her house but don't mine bitcoins because of the difficulty issues.

I do not see any of my female colleague who uses bitcoin but not active in this forum. I do not know the reason why they simply ignore the resourceful forum. Most of them get their bitcoins from faucets and they also interested in collecting some alt coins.

That's good work, already promoting this forum for females is great and successful method to advertise Bitcoin itself , because here the newbies in the Bitcoin's world learn a lot about this ecurrency and then can use it and advertise it as well

When i try to introduce bitcoin to others,
I always try firstly to learn them the concepts what is, how it works etc..
And if they want to go deeper then i suggest to check the forum because here are many helpful topics.

But I do differently.
When I try to introduce about bitcoin. I just start as a free money. In future how they are going to use it in everyday life. This makes many people believe on bitcoin. If I introduce on free faucet earning that attracts many people on collecting free satoshi. I believe they will learn on bitcoin on their own interest.

Yeah I think 99.99% of the ones here are real girls. The only real girl i can think of is codishmumu.

Bitcoin till now is "online" currency, we can't use it offline easily. So it's normal to don't find many people around us using or talking about bitcoin offline. However in the internet worlds we can easily find many people interested and talking about this currency

1. There are physical coins which can be used offline for any purpose just like fiats.
2. Bitcoin debit-cards are now available which is very much similar to our ATM cards, need just loading bitcoin well before and might have some extra fees to use.
But these are not enough to make people talk about bitcoins as these things are not popular yet.

What I call the key in having her join the bitcoin community was actually quite simple.

I basically installed the blockchain app on her phone, transferred some coins in a breeze...
and then I showed her how easy it was to top-up her mobile phone using the app and the barcode scanner function.

That was it, she was in, and still is!

Not 100% sure she would buy bitcoin herself yet, but she sure appreciates the free top-ups so far :)

I had the chance to explain the concept of signature campaigns to a girl today. It was her that asked me to explain but in the end didn't seem that amused, we proceeded talking about other things. From my experience I see that bitcoin as a topic isn't a great conversation starter if a participant in the discussion isn't into the "technical side" of things.

That's a greater chances many people here are still looking for. It would be nice if we get a female companion for a social site which is also very much educational and provides incentives like bitcoin talk. If I get definitely I will get them into sign up here and will follow them to be active.

People look for in easier job. I do not mean here with any gender difference. Both of genders always look for easier job but we need to explain them that bitcoin is an investment might get us very good amount of returns in near future more over collecting bitcoin must be a easier job.

I had seen posts of females here in bitcointalk. Not few. But not even more. Some. Maybe the "weak sex" have other interests in their life. Maybe their like more the hair saloons than the technology and bitcoins. Who knows? I have no data about this matter and to tell the truth have not seen not only females but even males to have interests for bitcoin in my known people. The only one who talk about bitcoin (sometime boring their who are with me) am only me. Being in such situation cannot tell that females are less interested about bitcoin compared to males. But your case talk clear. Unfortunately the ladies like more other kind of pleasures than bitcoin. But are such pleasures liked by females less enjoyable compared with our (males) desires about bitcoin? I must think well about the answer of this question.  ;)

That is the real fact when a girl gets into the progress of a life-changing thing. Girls are more conscious than boys when it comes to money. Once a girl get introduced into bitcoin she will be more perfect in order to gain more bitcoins. She will never spend bitcoin till bitcoin gets more price appreciations.

Yeah girls are attracted towards money and shopping so if they are aware they can shop by using bitcoins they would surely start getting into bitcoins, as they believe more in spending rather then saving  ;D and the major problem with the girls is they are so used to credit cards that they don't want to learn something new so it is better that my gf stay away from bitcoins or she will spend everything  :D

Most women don't seem interested in it, that's for sure. As for my girlfriend, she's cautiously curious about it. Which is not too bad, already. But she's not going to invest in it anyway. She's looking at it from the outside and only taking her information from me when I talk about it. I know one of my aunt could get very interested in it if someone could talk to her about it in a favorable way so that she would care to do some research but sorry I'll pass on that one.

Most women I met were either extremely cautious (which is not necessarily a bad thing, and I also consider myself the cautious type), either completely rejected it without even wanting to hear anything (now that, is not good).
Is it because of safety of investment reasons (anyone knowing bitcoin can safely think it can go nowhere but up, but how about people who can't set their eyes of the fact that it's apparently always fluctuating?)? Or because of the fact that bitcoin is a new geeky technology and women have a history with new geeky technologies  ;D ? I don't know for sure.

I don't know any females that are interested in computers and stuff. There is pretty much only 2 kinds of women. The women that are addicted to social media, and the women that are really into fashion. Pretty much only men are interested in computers and stuff.

Chicks aren't usually interested in this sort of stuff IMO, also even if they have come across the concept of bitcoin they probably think it's money for the underground drugs dealers and it's used to purchase illegal goods and stuff.

Honestly, I can confirm that after talking to my SO and people like my mom in my family, they thought that I was into dealing drugs or something, which I laughed and explained to them my concept of wanting to invest into bitcoin in the first place.  My SO was understanding, and tries to understand my philosophy of wanting to use a digitalized currency that doesn't rely on the bullshit the central banks do.  But my mom, on the other hand, holy shit... she thinks that I'm some anti-christ devil worshiper now, because of what the Bible says; that having a one world currency is a sign of the upcoming "rapture".  So I tend to stay away from that topic now with people in my immediate family.

As for trying to find women in general that know about bitcoin around me, I think this is a pretty obvious "never gonna happen for me" type of thing... since I live in an area of the US where people don't give a shit about the concept of economics or technology, and have one of the lowest test scores coming out of high school in the nation... and that's in the US for crying out loud! So yeah, I'm looking at places for me and my SO to move too when we are thinking about starting up a family.

That's true but If we inform that you can do shopping using bitcoins then they would surely start knowing all about bitcoins and who knows they might even start earning bitcoins on their own if they find it attractive My GF is aware about bitcoins and using it since a long time.

Around me or in whole network of my relatives and friends there are noone who uses or talk on bitcointalk or this forum. Some of my online earner friends know about bitcoin but they don't like to accept it. So if there is noone that mean no any female and male.

Some of my friends use BitcoinTalk, but in my family I don't know any. There is a girl that I know that use bitcoins.
I just don't know if she use bitcointalk too. But I have seen some girls in BItcoinTalk, but not really in the real world.

I still can find women use and adopt bitcoin in my town,but on some bitcoin group,i found some girl use bitcoin,and almost all of them are gamers,and i also think, really hard to motivate women to use bitcoin if they are not internet freak or gamer.

I can not even determine if there are other Bitcointalkers around me let alone female ones.  This brings the question back of who cares??  There are to many people on here who care if there are females involved in Bitcoin or bitcointalk, etc., who cares.  If you want to make a hookup, there is always Match.com, if you want to meet some cool chill people, just be here and communicate, do not try to make this about sex or race, etc.

I don't really know other Bitcointalkers around me. I haven't met anyone yet. Let alone another female Bitcointalker. I think the topic of bitcoin is not very prevalent if you are a female. The only real way you would of potentially heard of bitcoin early is maybe in fields such as computer science and engineering. I just don't know where you be able to spread information to females regarding this subject.   

There are quite a few I personally know and uses bitcointalk.org as a means to promote out a local currency exchange here in our place. The three of them are knowledgeable enough in the technical aspects of bitcoin and I can say that their knowledge is far superior than what I possess.

I have friends who is working on bitcoin as passive work and regular work as well. Actually When my friend first reveal about the bitcoin that time he thought me and one of other Office mate also. So I have friends in male and female both knows about bitcointalk and they also working mining and trading Etc…

Even i do agree that informing women of the utility of bitcoins such as using them for shopping, can surely increase their usage  by women folk .No doubt its true that currently there is hardly any female bitcoin talker in my locality in fact they have not even heard of it. But in my opinion,the trends are sure to change in the future as women are seen entering into each of the male dominating areas.

i am from philippines and i know a plenty of female bitcoin user around me.  and i think our country is ahead of raising bitcoin awareness in social media.most female bitcoin users are doing faucets. lol they alway post thier affliate link in social media

A female bitcointalker is just sitting a few steps away from me. Well that fact is, she is seraching for some extra income online and I taught her how to do it. I told her also that the best way to earn through bitcoin online is through signature campaigns at bitcontal.org.
