what site are you using to record the audio from a video posted on youtube?

I use http://youtubemp3.tv/ and the quality's been pretty good so far, depending on the source of course.

I use software on my PC "Youtube to Mp3 Converter" works.... pretty simple.

I use one of several greasemonkey scripts or a Firefox extension. Not entirely sure of the name of it right now. Will update when I check.

I use an extension for Firefox called Video DownloadHelper http://www.downloadhelper.net
It does pretty much everything you want.

I use Jdownloader, not the most practical solution, but it does the job. Also you don't need more tools, because it lets you download petty much anything on any page.

That's why I use http://youtubemp3.tv/ - it's all done in realtime and converts any youtube video in either regular quality or high.
No mess with needing to download software or plugins or the like.

You will still to go to another page and paste the link samd...
 With Video DownloadHelper you do not need to leave the page or open another tab, there is a simple icon on toolbar you have to click on.
Additionally, if you feel like, you can use pretty much every encoding option or codecs available under the sun.

yeah but would you rather deal with 2 pages or a potentially harmful disguised program(I've delt with alot of these).

Everything is possible. Is also possible that youtubemp3 is a malicious site that does all sorts of horrible things to your PC.

I created a bash script a while ago which grabs any flash videos that are open in a browser, and plays/saves them to the system.
It did have functionality to just extract the audio using mencoder, but I ended up removing it because I rarely used that feature.

+1 again.. rather do this than go to a possible malicious site and having to switch back and forth every time if you are grabbing a lot of audio, its just click and save very easy.

Like aura-flux mentioned, I too use Youtube-dl for linux.  It's an Easy command line-utility where you can do single fines, playlists, control audio output formats, you can even choose to capture commercials if you want.  Much control.  It also works for all the other similar video streaming sites.   Very very useful for me. 

I can get unlimited music/audio/video with this, and don't have to deal with ads, or somebody's spammy website ux.

on phone i used snaptune but in my computer i just search for mp3 downloader on google just google it and you will find a lot of sites that do the job for you
