I expect that bitcoin is going to the moon or anything close to it this summer with the block halving block reward , if nothing happens of course (like dumping millions of dollar of BTC etc .. ) also anyone knows if the U.S marshals dumped the BTC of Silk road or not yet ?

except only one thing, a nice value increase, i don't know what will be but there will be an increase, rest assured, and maybe we can have the old debate about the limit done by then

We know for sure it holds a halving. We know too that block size discussion will be back when we hit the date on those time-triggered BIP's. We also know almost for certain that the difficulty will increase :D The rest is just hypothesis/probable things.

If it gets on paypal and ebay that should spark the next bubble, the halving is also going to kick things off $500 is the minimum i should think :).

Hard to say. A big box with unknown happenings I would say. I hope most of them will be positive. The halvening at least should have at least a positive effect on Bitcoin's price.

I expect price stability and more use of in big places like yeah, paypal.
In 2016 there may happen new bubble but im sure it will not be bigger than past one.

There is already an (bad) article about this from Coindesk. It does not mention the halving at all. Nobody can be really certain. Some believe A, some believe B, etc. The halving is certainly going to have an effect on the price. The question is what that effect is going to be?

I don't think much will happen beside the price getting a bump higher due to the block halving. I'm interested in seeing how the miners will react and handle it if the price doesn't go up as much as they thought it would.

I expect more adoption and acceptance and surely increase in price. This current trend of increase in price will be steady somehow and halving will take it to between 350-400 $ and gives it stability. This is not only my expectation but also I am sure about it.I will keep holding at least until halving to happen.

2016 holds more success and stability in prices. If we look at the previous years each year was more good and brought many opportunities and adoption to Bitcoin.Next year also will take Bitcoin many steps further towards bright future.

the block rewards being halved is the most important happening in 2016. other than that it most likely will be the same as 2015.

Like everyone said it before, the halving can reserve us good things, but only if something bad didn't happened before (like the SilkRoad's money dump).

No doubt by next year bitcoin would get more attention and adoption so many people will start using this innovation and price will go to next level $400-$500 and will get most stable price floor.

BTCitcoin is on natural growth and will get it to new edge about price floor i also expect the price around $500 or more as like so many big merchants showing positive interest to start accepting it as normal payment processor.

Oddly enough, a CoinDesk article with nearly identical title. Here's TL;DR: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1191177.msg12727306#msg12727306

I believe there will be another sudden increase and lastly decrease in the price which will result on being stable around 300 mark for some months and also expecting to see more shops accepting bitcoin as their only means of payments in their physical stores where in from where I am , there is already a shop which only accepts bitcoin and is very successful

Many surprises would happen on 2016 as halving and new ASICs would come to mine bitcoin. Some government are bank may start accepting bitcoin will boost the value of bitcoin to moon. Overall 2016 would be a year for bitcoin and it's community.

A significant price increase as a result of the halving & that's all I can confidently predict. Lots of other things could happen, companies/organisations adopting etc but the price will increase, I will tell you that for free :)

Definitely a year of change in my opinion. An end of this 2 year long depression period, a halving and a big price increase in my opinion.

I also think that in the beginning of the year block size limit will be increased. I don't know by how much but I am sure this will be done.

Exciting 2016!

Everybody says it will go up. Very optimistic outlook.
The new year always does bring this view to anything we look to in the future.
I feel like buying now and being so optimistic about it's growth.

Yes $10k was an easy target in 2014 itself if we would have faced any bitter events like gtmox shut down and any consequence of that exchange events. When the price started to evolve, new money flies into buying side, no one can stop the prices to reach the moon.

Halving itself a dramatic thing which is a scheduled thing so people ignore it's influence in making bitcoin prices and impact on our financial systems. I strongly believe there would be more waves will be trigger on the event of halving which is the best thing 2016 has to give us.

Next year 2016 will open new doors of successful, adoption and popularity for Bitcoin. As the time of halving will come near we will see much more announcements of acceptance and increase in price without any doubt.I expect new year after halving will take Bitcoin to new peaks slowly slowly on constant basis.

I expect a price higher than 350$ for 2016. And will be nice if a big marketplace accepts bitcoin, for example eBay.

If eBay were to accept bitcoin, it will be a way higher increase in price than $350 I would think... Plus if eBay or any other major business of the sort were to adopt (which I don't find very likely), then other major businesses will surely be adopting as well... so if that's the case it will sky rocket like crazy.

Was an example, i doubt that eBay could be the first market to adopt. I think like you that if eBay adopt bitcoin the price of bitcoin could go too high.

i believe 2016 will be a valuable year for bitcoin, we saw in 2015 that many companies started to utilize bitcoin and bitcoin got much attention. in 2016 i expect bitcoins popularity to increase by a lot. many companies will begin to  see the power behind bitcoin and will begin to use it.
also next year the halfing will also take place reducing the supply of total bitcoins coming into the market. i expect the demand to increase as more people will become aware of bitcoin and will want a piece, the lower supply and higher demand should cause an uprise in the price.
overall i think 2016 will be a great year for bitcoin and i look forward to seeing in reality what actually happens  :D

Yes, bitcoin will repeat what has happened in the end of 2013 year. On the event of halving, due to increased mining costs, new money flow would happen to buy bitcoins from miners. So there are lot of possibilities that bitcoin prices will raise in the year 2016.

next year is going to be another bitcoin price bubble and it is not going to be as big as the last bubble but still it is going to be big enough to attract more investors to bitcoin.

the thing that i can't foresee is that if there is going to be a big crash afterwards and how big is it going to be. because history shows that after any pump there is going to be a big dump afterwards too, which is harmful to bitcoin more than anything else.
