I love the idea of running my S5 at home but HOLY crap! This is a loud unit and it runs hot! I was able to make the unit Wi-Fi and I can but it anywhere but simply the unit is just too loud for in house use. I can't but it in the garage because that has no air flow.. I am thinking of selling everything for $371 any ideas? I would love to keep it but I have no idea.. Title: Re: I think I need to sell my rig.. That is closer to a ebay price before fees taken out and shipping. Your other option is to mod the fan. Or even add 1 more and do push/pull with 2 quieter fans. Problem I see is that still did not sound quiet. I think you would have to do a mixture of low sound fans. Since they are lower RPM then regular S5 fan it will take multiple. At one time there was a 3d printing set to make the S5 have a enclosed case. I wonder if you could 3d print one and add fans from bottom to top. Use quiet and push from bottom and pull from top. Unless there is a way to disable the fan check. But at lowest fan speed, 2x S1 fans are very quiet. Also OP did not miss the option to control the fan speed with the latest firmware, right?
