Idea of MONETA creation was born in December 2014 by Mike Lary (system administrator, programmer) and Travor Bishop (CEO, investment). But they understand that they need a big team across the world.

16 December 2014 Group of developers, organized a conference on the project MONETA cryptocurrency. 7 people were to participate in the project.  It was decided to distribute the project development and find an investors.
Now the team has about 20 people from the UK, USA, UAE, Poland, Russia,  China, India and Vietnam.

21 December 2014 Habib Masuro and Egor Gilin identified by investors MONETA project as a result of negotiations. They invested about $ 180,000 in the project. We started the project MONETA after the allocation of responsibilities and a plan investment.
Launching of the project was scheduled for September 2015.

2 January 2015 The project is named MONETA [MONET]

21 January 2015 Domain name moneta.io is registered

MONETA Ideology.

The very essence of the idea is not just new software, it is the new financial system. We felt a failure of such known systems, such as banks, state funds, fiat currency, tax system, stock market, and we took into account the success of Bitcoin in recent years. Then we began to think about a new ideology. But how to achieve global credibility to our system? We clearly realize that the future of blockchain technology and its transparency. We have modeled a variety of options based on the stories of successful projects, and mathematical calculations. The system must have the permanence and periodicity, decentralization, moderation in inflation, positive and cyclical in endless :) (positive - as a product that causes only positive emotions).

Then Mike Lary proposed a formula for the constant rise in prices (DPI). The steady increase in prices ?! Is it possible?! DPI formula calculates how much more expensive currency of tomorrow based on today's price, digit Pi and derivative logarithmic functions. Remember the picture with growing up green graph ?! That positive :).

Around the constantly rising prices of commodities, and new currency is also constantly becoming more expensive. At the same time prices are rising every day. And MONETA more expensive each day. That means prices will decrease every day. Imagine a store where every day the price falls and increasing store profits. But the formula is to calculate the value of a certain currency ?! It was unanimously decided to tie the Bitcoin currency . This means that the price MONET is calculated in the BTC. It remains to determine the initial price. We decided to take the price for 1 kw/h electricity power, its global average. That's about $ 0.10 or 0,0005 BTC. (Mining - Electricity is an investment or a waste of natural resources).

why not just solo mine? for about $8/month you can get a dedicated ubuntu server and install your own wallet and mine solo. especially on a coin like this where the wallet is now and the block chain is small you can synch in just a few minutes and be running.

So with 16,7000,000 coins available and an attempted ICO price of 0.0005 BTCs that would mean moneta would have a marketcap of  8350 Bitcoins. At the beginning of the project I am very loyal to the success of the coins, but now I'm completely disappointed. Apparently the developers have deceived us, because simply could not have such a large number of coins to be so fast on the stock exchange and to be sold at such a low price. Project scam, and now I definitely believe in this.

The price is so low because the project could not stand the pressure from speculators and fiction ready for it (apparently the team has little experience in this area). I do not think that in the near future something will change
