Title: Does locking a loan request thread welcomes negative feedback??
Post by: pjsonowal on October 20, 2015, 12:57:13 PM
I put up a loan request of 0.035 btc on the forum but some users were posting insubstantial posts to increase post count and also i wasnt getting the loan... So i asked a friend that i know nearby my locality and he agreed and provided me the loan... So i posted that i got the loan but didnt mentioned how i got it and locked the topic... So a guy named BTCRAZY1 negative feedback saying that i was trying to scam... And i received negative feedback on my alternate account. Too....

Am i wrong??? Please i want your. Valuable replies

Is protecting a thread welcomes negative feedback....

IMHO you dont have to proof that you got the loan elsewhere, but apparently this user sees it differently.

Since the trust system is not moderated you will get no help from mods in this regard. You have to talk to the person in question or ignore the rating.

In this particular case I would suggest you ignore the rating. Why?

#1 They claim a member account is not valid collateral while its commonly accepted as such -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1213291.msg12725684#msg12725684

#2 they are not part of the default trust network, thus their rating will not influence your overal "score" (the flashy green/red/black numbers) and will be disregarded by most others

#3 they worded it "I believe he is trying..." and gave your thread as reference. Anyone that is worth trading with will read the thread and IMHO still trade with you.

Everyone has an opinion, its only natural that they are different from time to time.

The lending section is even more paranoid than the rest of the board, but I would guess if you PMd the user in question with some details about the private deal they would remove it. But as I said above I dont think you have to.
