Title: Which coin do you typically gamble in?
Post by: adaseb on October 20, 2015, 11:09:30 PM
Lately I am thinking of switching from BTC and using other currencies such as LTC or XMR or DOGE because BTC confirmations are taking way too long and I am also having issues where every few transaction can take up to 5 minutes to show up on the blockchain.

Also the fees for BTC is also too high when I do many transactions.

Just wondering what is the most popular, lowest fees and fastest alt currency to use on gambling websites.

Off-chain: Bitcoin, because it's the "main" currency.

On-chain: Doge, because of low fee and very fast confirmation.

i also like doge coin because i can have like hundred of thousand of them while in btc is like less than 1. so the number turns me up and it seems like i have a lot more fun with bigger numbers although sometime the value is almost the same.

I prefer dogecoins too as it takes much less time for confirmation and with much less fees however i already stopped using alt coins as i dont like the hassle on losing just because the price drops

I pretty much don't use other coins so I only use bitcoin in everything and that includes in gambling. There are instances that when I find a good gambling aite and I have some doges to spare, I do use them to gamble. Overall I mostly just use bitcoin.

Ya'll know which one I'm talking about. :3

I think likely with doge, because lower fee, fast confirmations.

I do not know about faster confirmation but I use XAPO account for sending my coins to bet on sports because XAPO will not charge any things for transactions and most of the time confirmations are quite fast. But I never compared with doge so do not have an idea which is faster. XAPO i find it quite safe also for online wallet.

BTC confirmations mostly take 10-30 min per block,if you bet on sports yeah you have time to wait confirmation example you bet on directbet.eu they credited your btc,but if you win you need confirmation to get your btc.

as long as you are using bitcoins it doesnt matter what wallet you are using for the confirmation time, XAPO, blockchain or whatever desktop wallet uses the same blockchain and same miners are mining for us to confirm our transaction as long as you pay decent fees your transaction will be confirmed probably in the next block. dogecoins confirmation time is definitely faster than bitcoins coz doge typically find a block every minute compared to bitcoin's 10minutes per block as average

Bitcoin, because it's the most widely accepted Crypto. Some unique gambling sites only accept bitcoin; you can't play with any other coin, that is why I usually play with bitcoin.

I used bitcoin, never try to use altcoin.

The transaction is need to take less than 10 minutes, use fees to get high priority. I personally never have an issue about transaction as long as I used miner fees.

btc is mainly my gambling currency, but i really have a lot of fun with dogecoin cause of the amount of coin we can have. even losing like a few k of dogecoin is not so painful as losing a few k of mbtc.

I usually use bitcoin but the confirmation time is too slow and also the high fee that need to be paid. Unlike the other alt coins.
Sometimes I also use dogecoin because it's much better than bitcoin because with it's fast confirmation time and low fee.

Yes dogecoin is my favorite to bet on. I do not want to spend out my bitcoin which is the only reason I always for an alternative crypto-currency. Yobit provides us free alt coins daily, we can use any coin for their dice game, which is the best place for alt coin gambling.

But most site still use bitcoin to play and most people just using dogecoin to trading and not for gamble because it is easier to make money using trading dogecoin rather than gambling it. I dont know if this work for you guys or not

Lately I am thinking of switching from BTC and using other currencies such as LTC or XMR or DOGE because BTC confirmations are taking way too long and I am also having issues where every few transaction can take up to 5 minutes to show up on the blockchain.

Use doge if you want to save some fee . The fee for this coin is the lowest from all of the other coins and confirmation time is faster. Also there is alot of doge out there even if you want to us ea huge amount

I was thinking the exact same thing lately, and thinking about it I came up with the best altcoin to gamble with and that is DogeCoin.
Doge has a very low transaction fee 1 D which is 42 satoshi :O
it has fast transaction which get fast number of confirmation
also if you can gamble from 0.00000001 D like you do with bitcoin then you can have unlimited bankroll.

but the problem is I have yet to find a good place that accepts doge for gambling.

I played using bitcoin. Never used other coins. Just using it to do some trading because what I saw most gambling site are using btc rather than other coin and you need to convert from btc to other coin that is a waste so directly to play btc is better

Doge is good but the problem is that everyday or so it keeps going down in value by like 1% or so. In 3 months it lost almost half its value. I highly doubt everybody bought doge at 20 Sats

You can use shapeshift.io to exchange it instantly and it is easy to do. Some site like bitdice has built in exchanger too so you can exchange your btc to altcoin on site

I never used any other coins to gamble but used always only bitcoins for my sports betting. I find it quite good and never explored any other coins. Any suggestion apart from bitcoins which coins are good or more stable or have a better future? I may buy and keep for prices to go up.

Dogecoin sustained only for short period on 20 satoshi range. I too use Dogecoin for my gambling purpose and I also hold around 1 million of dogecoins as hoardings in offline wallets. Dogecoin is comparatively less fess and fast confirmations if dogecoin was capped then story might have been different.

It seems everybody is saying DOGE. Doge would of been good if it was more stable in price.

Even LTC/BTC is more stable then DOGE.

Clams
1 Minute confirmations used on Just-Dice and has doog around so stable operator and easy to trade off on Poloniex.

That said I do miss doge-dice as my dogecoins lurk and they are quite stable as well wouldn't mind investing on people playing Doge :P

I GAMBLE WITH DOGECOIN..

i feel that if i bet in btc.. i will simply loose some money for fees.. although it might be less.. but also .. in 5k satoshi i can buy 100 dogecoin... if i place 10 bets.. 1000 dogecoins.. i can simply use this to bet separately.. so i feel dogecoin is the best.

Bitcoins!
For two reasons : 1.Safest and direct transfers and withdrawal policies
2.Most of the websites almost all my fav's accept bitcoins as the primary source of payment .I don't mind betting in alt but have heard people getting scammed  while the transfers were issued for the first time to random accounts .

Yes but lately with the attacks on the network sometimes it takes forever for a transaction to appear on the blockchain. Also the difficulty is weird and sometimes it takes 30 minutes for one confirmation.

None of them.

Gambling with play money is for degenerates, shitcoiners, and basement dwelling tax evaders that would rather steal money than form a protest.
