Title: Bitcoin Religion?
Post by: RealBitcoin on October 22, 2015, 01:09:24 AM
Religions have been around thousands of years, without any new discovery or anything new added to it. It remained as they are for thousands of years, just based on some ancient texts, scrolls or mouth-to-mouth stories.

Why don't we create a bitcoin religion?

There are thousands of different religious groups, all believing in some strange things. Don't we want a religion for bitcoin to attract more people into it?

Benefits of a religion:
-Strong cohesive community
-Members respect eachother
-Members help eachother
-Members care about eachother
-Easy way to communicate things
-It can spread easier than other projects
-It will be easier for people to join it, and it will make more people interested in it.
-It would make bitcoin tax exempt since it would be a religious tool part of it's ceremony

And on top of that bitcoin itself is already a messiah, but it's a financial saviour of humanity, so it totally fits all characteristics.

Opinions? :)

I think this religion already exists in some form or another among the myriad of other world religions.  Sounds like a combination of Freemasonry (brotherhood, community), Paganism (worship of money, Wall street), Scientology (worship of the individual ego) etc
That being said, if the members of this new "religion" get the price up to $1000...

Yes its more like a brotherhood, since 90% of us are males so it make sense.

I`m not sure what panagism you are refering too, probably the mysticism of satoshi and his mystical identity and personality?

It would be an interesting experiment, and it would really create a media coverage for us. Plus it could make bitcoin tax exempt since it would be a religious tool. Think about it :D

Yep, simply convert your essence into a not-for-profit church and you're golden - like a calf.

Mine would be Community Capra Church (CCC).
