Clash of the Alts  ;D

In an ideal situation they all profit from a Bitcoin bullrun
but if that will really be the case ? Time will tell.

Monero, Dash and Doge are all very popular  ;) May be Dash and Doge have better perspective, but it is very hard to predict altcoin future  ;)

Id put my money on DASH from the ones listed but i guess CLAM and Monero will also start moving up pretty fast once BTC starts going back down.

LTC and Doge are quite known. They will be in first wave.
Second wave will be much more coins. The ones that are doing well so far and put some effort in their publicity also.
In third wave almost all coins will as long they are not die yet and millions of new coins will appear.

I don't believe in waves, besides that nobody uses or knows ltc in the real world and doge is pretty much losing users everyday, it was a pretty amateurish attempt to gain users so it failed.

I would say LTC will pump next due to China loving it. LTC has a lot of volume on some big exchanges so that seems like the obvious choice to rise next.

Litecoin, Monero, Doge, Dash? What will rise first following a BTC bull-run?

Most likely all four will appreciate in terms of Bitcoin if history is any indication.

Most likely all four will depreciate in terms of Bitcoin.  Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

It always happen whenever Bitcoin price goes up. Mostly the top 20 cyptocurrency listed on coinmarketcap.

Yes they will most likely appreciate, I've owned some very different ones (Monero from those) and a bump in Bitcoin price always made the top 20 or so rise in value too. Either way I don't see them having much future honestly, they are ok to speculate with I guess (in the short term).

I personally am of the belief that Monero will eventually meet and exceed a 1:1 peg with bitcoin itself, regardless of it's $USD value.

Are you drunk? You sound like one of those honks that believe digital cash needs fungibility. Next you'll tell me birds need wings to fly. Crazy, just crazy.

If the peak of the bitcoin bubble coincides with a Monero 1.0 release..... holy sheeeet.

IMHO Dash is dying and everyone is realizing that, Doge had its day (though may still see a bump for the lulz) and Litecoin will have no utility once Monero gets underway.

There's always users talking about Monero on and on, I just don't see what's so great about it, I've used their wallet and methods and trust me, no common person will ever use something like that.

Anonymity doesn't have value to me or the majority of the people, and Bitcoin is anonymous enough if you really need that.

this is the pure truth.... and this even with the constant spamvertising threads here on BCT from the XMR shills supported by the mods.

What will you do when the US Government declares that any bitcoins you have that were ever used in black market transactions must be turned over to the government?
What about when China refuses to accept any bitcoins that have been mined in the United States?
What will you do when your bank asks you turn over details of the sex toys you bought with bitcoin last week because it was a "suspicious transaction"?
What about when the police come to interview you because bitcoins you sent for payment were used to purchase drugs the following week.  Will your privacy still not matter to you?
What if they then seize all the computers in your home because that hardware is suspected of a crime? (yes, a real thing: https://www.aclu.org/issues/criminal-law-reform/reforming-police-practices/asset-forfeiture-abuse)
What about when the blocksize limit keeps getting hit, and you have to pay $10 to have your transaction included?
Are you familiar with how http://sabr.io/ is making it easier than ever to link your bitcoin transactions with every detail of yourself?
Even if you are willing to accept such public scrutiny, do you believe businesses and governments are?  What about the wealthy, who can't afford to have the public watching their every move?
What will you do if/when Satoshi (or any other big holder) begins to move their coins and the value crashes overnight?  Do you really believe a currency can function when every person on Earth can see the financial activity of every other participant in that currency?

Privacy isn't an optional feature of a currency; it's a downright necessity.

Additionally, the fact that Monero has a dynamic blocksize and a perpetual emission make it an entire generation ahead of bitcoin.

nope, BTC is not anonymous enough, there's a public ledger of every transaction ever and with the necessary analysis-tools dots can be connected, identities can be revealed...

Allways funny when people say anonimity doesn't have value... Ever thought about that? What if someone or some instance was able to know everything you ever bought or sold, would you not care? I know I would...

I like to quote Snowden on that matter:
"Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech becaue you have nothing to say..."

If you can't buy things anonymously, if you can't own things anonymously... then say bye bye to privacy, I wouldn't like to live in that society...

On topic: I think first litecoin and doge, then dash and monero...

Edit: AmericanPegasus was way faster...

That's not really the truth though is it? Anyone who has been paying attention will know that it is actually the other way round - and peeps like you are perhaps the real disingenous ones. Monero is attacked by trolls simply because it is a threat to the scams that seek to capitalise in its place. And as for shills supported by mods? You're either paranoid or conciously nefarious.

Someone even mentioned that because Monero is one of the only altcoins listed in the /r/Bitcoin sidebar that it is proof of a Bitcoin/Monero alliance which "apparently" would explain why all the Bitcoin core devs were supporting Monero.

Risable paranoia.

It's true that Monero is one of the only altcoins listed in the sidebar (along with Namecoin and Bitshares) but that is only because Monero isn't a clone of Bitcoin. Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Dash aren't included because they are clones.

Does this mean Monero is the best? Personally, I honestly don't know. It's true that the Facebook generation will never understand the need for an anonymous sector, and I dare say neither will the North Koreans.

But I would argue that there are more people in the world who wish to have transactional privacy than those who don't. It's just a question of facilitation.
