In 1 week, litecoin only go down.  Bitcoin only go up!

ltc doesnt really have a usecase aside from trading it to btc, it has no meaning outside of crypto and has a poor active userbase..there are better projects. imo ltc marketcap is hugely overpriced..it should be at around 500k.

Very unlikely, popular crypto like LTC will never ever  reach $0 no matter how many times it falls. Maybe in your dreams!

Litecoin is one of the few original altcoins when bitcoin was started. It will stay there for some time to come as there is no coin that can replace it at the moment.

Charles Lee said himself he won't develop anything more for LTC. I'm sure nobody cares this coin anymore.

Correct me if I am wrong. If litecoin goes down, then bitcoin will go up. Can I make this conclusion?
Do the two currencys affect each other in some way? I know that most altcoins these days are worthless and only get pumped and dumped by big whales. But some altcoins must be good, they can't be all bad, right? And now litecoin is going down, one of the best altcoin... What now?

Well, was nice while it lasted.

I remember buying it at 5 dollar then selling it for 4.8. I didn't want my money to be stuck while waiting for something to pump it.

Luckily I sold because after that it went from bad to worse.

If I could get just one bitcent every time when someone turning up with such predictions about how LTC going to crash to zero I'd be a whale by now :). I agree, LTC is only used for speculation but there's too much money and interest in it, to just simply crash.

It's funny because its true, anyways we just need to wait for is another Chinese Ponzi scheme in Litecoin then the price will move from $2 to $6 again although it sitting around 3-4 now.
It really is one of the main tools for speculation along with other altcoins over there at the very least its value will exist for a while.

Guys Litecoin has one thing going for it that others don't ..going back years.
The P2P site the Pirate Bay had Litecoin listed on the bottom of the page for donations. (it was removed at some point i noticed now)
When they added the address on that site years ago... i then went and Google searched Litecoin.
And that was the start of crypto for me (and i bet many others)

I kept seeing the Bitcoin address listed and kept thinking i should look into that stuff but i never did.
Not until they added another address (the LTC one)
So sadly i could have gotten in to crypto sooner and got some cheap BTC's had i gotten off my ass :(

That's not what coblee said. He said that Litecoin doesn't need further development on 'new' features; instead it needs more user contribution to solutions which allow Litecoin to work.

Have fun not loading in cheap Litecoins and not riding the train/rocket when it goes up. Litecoin has traditionally always followed BTC.
If Bitcoin goes up, Litecoin will follow later on. Look at the charts and use your brains for once. And if not; well, nobody cares if you buy or sell litecoin, even your entire net worth wouldn't cause $0,01 change in litecoin's price.

Yes, Litecoin future is not bright due to many popular altcoins in the market  ;) But at this stage - there are Web sites, which use it, so LTC users exist in the market  :D

Personally, I wouldn't touch Litecoin even with a broomstick at this moment. While the absolute value of LTC hasn't changed much in the last few weeks (on BTC-e.com roughly around $3,05), its losing terrain constantly relative to BTC. Though it seems this isn't just a LTC-thing, its happening also to NMC, PPC, etc ...

I know someone who bought LTC @ $38. He might end up holding them untll the sun explodes.

i'd say the opposite is true, the more alts on the market the less likely one could get the userbase to overtake litecoin.

I hate coins that have TH's of network support and continue to bolster its client(s) in lock step with BTC. You guys are are insane! I don't even have a use case for the 'new, hot' altcoins other than to watch the greedy pump and dump them for BTC...the natural trading partner for LTC.

Litecoins doing a pretty solid job keeping its normal range when the Bitcoin price keeps rising in the mid term
Either way the hashes are still going and the halving helps it a bit surprisingly still going strong.

It is impossible for Litecoin to reach $0. Litecoin will drop in price until it slowly dies out or when somebody pump it again for no reason.

Wow, looking at BTC-e right now and LTC is shooting up real fast; from under $3 to $3,80 at the moment. Made a small profit by a trade between BTC & LTC. Could have made a much bigger profit, but miniscule profit is better than (miniscule) loss.

So maybe ETH/BTC holders are moving to LTC...? Can't see it going on much longer.

yes yes. again, big BIG pump in BTC today, LTC still 3.6.

LTC is relevant for Chinese and Russians (mainly the whales on BTC-E). Everyone else except a handfull of Asic miners has lost interest in LTC. I was disappointed myself that there is little development going on for it, but the worst part is LTC's main function was to be asic resistant and gave home miners another chance. Now LTC is just like BTC, except the Asics suck and mining it in relevant amounts needs more energy than mining Bitcoin. Very risky. However, if Litecoin could suddenly be mined with multiple algorithms say SHA256 things would get interesting again. A change from a scrypt coin to multi algos is possible and has been done successfully, for example DigitalCoin did it, however it didn't save it from becoming irrelevant and forgotten. With LTC's size, it might look much different.

I think litecoin mining will get back on track and the difficulty will raise back to the usual and so will the price.

technically price is cheap when its below the 200 day moving average on ltc/btc chart. this just happend and we saw heavy buying.
it will touch the line in next days again and we will see what happens. there are also some bullish signals on ltc/usd chart.

The price is cheap when the cost of mining is similar or higher than the price. At that point, miner will stop their miner and stop dumping.

LTC will never reach zero. LTC prices will have a direct correlation between BTC prices. LTC offers an alternative to bitcoin and it has made itself a well known enough currency for it to not drop to zero.

I agree, I don't think LTC will drop to $0 or any similar value UNLESS something happens to Bitcoin. If Bitcoin goes down, every other altcoin will go down with it, make no mistake. It won't be the end of crypto currencies, perhaps a new technology replaces them all. That's just my theory of a Bitcoin apocalypse scenario.

The price of bitcoin has risen a lot recently. All the altcoin price dropped relative to bitcoin. This might change in the next few months, when trader start looking for new pump targets.

Yeah litecoins are dying at the moment, no doubt about that. I think dogecoins are going to be the new main altcoin instead of litecoins.

I am not too educated on litecoin and I don't really theorize about things I don't know about. But I do believe, as years go on we will see a steady increase in the value in BTC and I believe we will see this growth accelerated as the USD takes hits along the way.
