Title: How many mhash/second will my rig get?
Post by: tlytkine on November 04, 2012, 11:50:02 PM
I want to start bitcoin mining & I was looking for some advice on how I should start efficiently mining.
This is my hardware:
Intel Core i5 3570S ES 3.1GHz 6MB 65W 22nm Quad Core Ivy Bridge Processor
16gb RAM
PowerColor AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 800MHz HDMI PCI-E Low Profile Video Card
400 Watt PSU (if that has any influence on performance)
500gb HDD 7200RPM (if that has any influence on performance)
Well anyway I was wondering what software I should be using to mine bitcoins, how many mhash/second I could get and what I could do to maximize my mhash/second rate?
Also, Does anyone knows of a better low profile video card than the 7750 that is  available for purchase for $300 bucks or less?
Thank you, I'm hoping someone could help me out with some advice.

for mining purposes, your radeon hd 7750 is the only component that matters. as the guy above me has said, it will push 120-140 mhash/s depending on clock frequency.

You'll need to research which miner software works best for you, but I recommend cgminer/bfgminer to get yourself started.
