Unless something extremely weird happens, Obama has won his second term. I personally prefer him to Romney, but find both options detestable. Either way, we can all sleep well now knowing that there won't be another election this big in four years.

He won the wall street vote.

He got >90% of black American votes. Other major factors were the Atheist vote (>60% of people who do not attend religious services), the educated vote (>55% of those with postgraduate degrees), and the lower-class vote (>60% of people who earn less than $50000 per annum).

Aparently their still counting the votes from Ohio, but it won't matter. We all know who the next president will be.

Obama also has an almost-certain victory in Florida, and likely victories in Virginia and Colorado. There's like, a 0.1% chance at this point Romney can catch up.

Thumbs up for gay marriage and marijuana ::) ...not that I do either of those.

I love the Google page for voting results, made easy and clear to see. I was quite surprised Obama got so many points from states. 

Indeed, I don't support Obama's aggressive foreign policy, but his social and environmental policies are far superior to Willard's. He is the superior choice among the two large parties, mostly because the alternative choice is terrible.

I hope the 1,000 years of darkness that Chuck Norris promised will come true now. Otherwise I'll be really disappointed in Chuck Norris.

lol wow, the popular vote is 50/50 - that's interesting. Apparently even if Romney wins Ohio(which he won't) or Florida(which he won't) the total won't be enough to steal the vote.

Popular vote is always nearly dead even. That's what makes this such a farce.

Vote sits at 303 vs 203, and Romney just thanked Obama for a close hard race and congratulated Obama on re-election.

No. Electoral votes, this was a brutal pounding. It's only close if you count the popular vote, which doesn't matter. Where you vote matters more than who you vote for.

I am an American and American's are stupid, but so is every other citizen of every other nation with elected representative government.

Oh wait... instead of that, maybe there are individuals all over the world who might be waking up to some of the harsher realities of the world, thereby learning - not being stupid, but not being numerous enough yet to initiate the meaningful change required in a democracy.

I do not think anyone is stupid for believing their conditioning or a trusted source.

No nation is retarded. A nations' representatives usually are though. Every nations' people are pretty much the same. We all just want to work and thrive and enjoy our passions.

I avoided coverage of the campaign like the plague this time around.  I know that health care reform was a huge part of Obama's campaign the first time around, what "mandate" will he be claiming this time around? (I detest it when politicians claim that winning an election means that the electorate supports all their policies when often the electorate chooses the least worst option on a single issue).

Nothing so far. Most he has said is that he hopes that now he'll actually be able to work with republicans in a bipartisan way. Nothing about getting any mandates.

That reminds me a lot actually of when a huge number of people ( Including me actually ) voted against the AV voting system the Liberal Democrats were trying to push through in the UK, some stupid conservative came along and claimed something like it wasn't just a rejection of the AV system but a show of support for the current system. If anyone in government happens to read this ( probably not ) I fucking hate the current system in the UK, I despise it, I want direct democracy and that is the only form of Democracy I will ever accept, anything else is simply electing dictators who do whatever they want without our permission and steal all the taxes for themselves.

imo i think most of the world should take 99% of the gov and throw them under a buss....
re-write pretty much all corp / economic laws so politician`s cant be bought out and keep the gov / banks 100% transparent so they wont be able to fuck over the ppl any more...

what im saying is keep corperations out of the gov and keep the gov transparent.
atm the gov is bought out by the big corp`s and do everything they say.
Anarcho-capitalism suggests that everything gets privatised and the gov doesnt rule shit.... (allmost what we have now if you think about it)

the gov should work for the people and only for the people.
right now the people are friggin slaves and the corp run the gov....

take a hard look at who is funding the campains etc.....
the way things are run right now, politicians should wear outfits like the guys in nascar so ppl know who tha hell is sponsoring them and why the politicians are voting like they do...

You want transparent government.
You want government which respects the people.

Market provision of defense and judgment will provide these goals. This is what you want. It may not be what you think you want, but it is what you're looking for. Imagine being able to choose your government like you choose your television provider. Would governments abuse their citizens - or others' - if it meant that they would simply switch providers?

When will you people stop watching TV and ignore all this shit. By paying attention to elections, television, commercials and corporations you give credibility to all this stuff. :(
