So I will do so here & now. Just heard about Bitcoin thru the Gawker SR article - yes, I'm one of THEM but don't hate me til you get to know me. I am in Seattle. Lots of info here and I see a couple opinions too *koff*. Hope I get it figured out. Trying to get something going...dwolla needs my bank to be open...Nanaimo Gold's site is down...trying to see how & when prices move...baby steps for now to keep risk under control. (The first message board I participated in actually asked people to please not post intro threads, which kind of made sense to me... but seems to be the opposite of what everyone else wants.)
The way I bought my first bitcoins wasn't by going through Mt Gox or Dwolla, but by finding someone on the forums to trade with me. If you go to the Marketplace or to #bitcoin-otc and offer a price, you may just find a taker.
