Title: New type of Mastercard - virtual keyboard and virtual LCD
Post by: JackH on November 08, 2012, 01:04:23 PM
Read all about it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-20250441

Now this is from my point of view a step in the right direction. If this contains a virtual device inside the card, we can "hack" it and add Bitcoin, piggy backing on a Mastercard.

That is funny, probably doable but exactly what they don't want to have happen, the hacking part anyways.

Oh yeah, it'll get hacked all right ... hacked to hell and back, you can take that to the bank.

Xbox are what the kids play with ... bank gadgets on the other hand ....

If the manufacturing fuse is blown then the software becomes read-only. It cannot then be reprogrammed.

There already are credit card sized devices with LCD and buttons.

Probably confused virtual with digital.

There is always a way... and it usually something a 12 yr old can figure out.
