For me during a rally it's far too often. I was involved with Bitcoin before the 2013 rally and that was exciting. It affected my work the amount I checked!

I've started checking again more often due to the small rally we've recently had.

What are your price check routines?

I know I've checked the price pretty much as soon as I've woken for the past 2 years now, every time I go to the toilet, every lunch break, every opportunity really. Pathetic I know, but it seems routine now.

I watched the price so much I barely slept this week, I had it constantly updating on my laptop screen. All the action happened when China woke up, which was the middle of the night for me. My work suffered, and so did I. It's not healthy checking the price so often, but I can't help it during pumps occurring after months of no price movement.

on some days I check it every few hours, and set some scripts to buy/sell, on other days I don't look for weeks.

Permanently. My productivity has severely suffered the last week and my wife started to hate it ... until I told her what I have earned this month by "playing on the Computer".   8) ;D

Well it all depends on the price. These few days had me checking on the price on coinmarketcap almost every half hour and clearly I was undecided whether I should buy more or just sell some of my stash. It's certainly exciting to see it changing quickly and finally breaching the 300 level. It will be even more interesting next week to see whether it can sustain at this level.

I also have that on my phone haha. 3 different bitcoin price ticker. Everytime I open my phone, I can see the price updating. Never been this paranoid in my life lol.

I do this too! She has no interest. I bet she will when I buy a Lamborghini and she's then suddenly asking for her champion dressage horse.

Hahaa yeah mine finally told me "I don't care about bitcoin!" Well I'll remember that in a few years. Lol.

i have preev tab soo into this browser i look into the top and check like 10 times a day but flowtuations dont bother me

Lately I am checking the price at least once every day (twice generally)
Weeks ago, i was checking it every ~3 days.

I check the price constantly. I am sure it is many, many times a day. I have done so since the day I bought my first coin Nov 3rd, 2013.....

God help me.

In days with low volume I probably check the price 2 or 3 times per day, at most. Currently I check the price nearly every hour. I have the feeling that the price can go up again very quickly.

A few times a month, i dont trade so i try not to relate bitcoin to USD or other currencies
I only check when i hear there is a huge price jump or fall

Don't know about others, but I have had been a fan of Bitcoin just because of its volatility and liquidity that it shows during rallies...
I check it too often that I can't even tell you an exact number, may be more than 100 times a day...
I just close the MT4, and after few minutes, I go to preev, then localbitcoins, then BTC-e, and many websites and just love to see the price as of now...

almost everyday i always check bitcoin price especially since the price rise up faster in this few days
i don't want to missed this opportunity to see the bitcoin price reached to the top :D :D :D

i check it in the morning and before going to sleep as im curious about the price

my desk top PC have a widget that gives me the updated exchange rate of BTC - USD, so every time my eyes passes through the side of the monitor where the widget is located, I can see or have a glance of the exchange rate

i dont check it at all as i dont have any bitcoins

I wouldn't want to hold NO bitcoins. I believe you should get involved. It'll be heartbreaking in years to come to think you could of got in but never did.

A lot of people will regret not knowing about Bitcoin early enough. As you are lucky enough to know about it before the masses I think you should invest a little.

But then again....who am I?

Do you mind if I ask how much was that first coin 2 years ago. Does it seem like a good investment now after being on a rollarcoaster ride during that time?

Everytime I check the news, so I can relate the price fluctuations with what's happening in the industry. The CoinDesk app is very useful.  :)

I look 10-15 times through the app on my mobile phone, and a few times on my PC :)

If you are asking about these days(last 2-3 days) as the coin is appreciating again so I check quite often about 3-4 times a day on my mobile or in my laptop.

Hovering between $900 and $950. ATH happened Nov. 2013 too.

I am not stuck in just bitcoin ,i do have some money involved in other crypto's
probably ,15-20 times a day.

There are days when I do not check the price at all. Sometimes when I need to sell some coins then I check it couple times a day.
But usually I check it after I woke up and before I go to sleep.

I'm kind of a fair weather checker.

Bought my first coins in April of last year.  Watched it rise up above $650 in about 6 weeks.  I was checking constantly, 50+ times per day.  Watched it go down significantly, basically cut in half through the year last year.  Nibbled on some throughout the year, including in the $330 range last autumn and some more in January of this year around $270. 

Trading ain't my thing at all.  I have never sold.  It's a pure long-term play for me.  If BTC goes away in a fiery death, I haven't lost more than I can afford.  I'm generally disinterested in the fluctuations unless they are noteworthy or unless there is news.  Fortunately, I bought quite a bit in August at $230 and also at $215.  I have no idea why.  Hadn't really been paying much attention, but those buys brought my dollar cost average down significantly.

I couldn't even tell you whether the price right now is above my cost average or not.  Might figure it out today, but I just buy when I think it seems good to do so.  I generally only pay attention when it captures my interest because something is going on.

Must say that I'm interested again recently and checking pretty constantly...20+ times per day!

i don't know how many times i check the price, but for sure it's a lot. due to the bull run i check the price even more than before.

I'm on this forum everyday and a couple of times a day I would check the BTC price.  I used to check the alts a lot too but recently have just left them alone, especially now bitcoin is on the move it is good to check the price.

I usually check the price one or twice a day. I do not trade bitcoin. I mine, use and hold bitcoin. When the price is high, I use some bitcoin.

I haven't check the price quite a long time but when I see this topic I realize that I must check the price regularly. When last time I check the price is about 260$ but now it is 304$  :o :o :o

Quite a lot of times. But I have setup my smartphone in a way that this is not at all tiresome for me and also it really  doesn't take a lot of time. I have downloaded a Bitcoin ticker widget and made it available on my home screen. It updates every minute since I do have unlimited Internet on my phone.

So every time when I unlock my phone, I see the current Bitfinex price! Call me obsessed maybe, but I don't care! :)

I have the bitcoinwisdom site open all day on my second screen to see what's happening. When I'm not at home I just check the price 2 or 3 times on my phone. There are days that I don't look at the price at all because the price has not been moving at all.

i am a carpenter on the job during the day but when i get home 10 or 15 times when it gets like this,  i just can not figure out whether to to sell or buy more

I hold very little bitcoin. But way back when it was sub 100 (the first time?) i got some and used them right away for a vpn service or something. When that jump happened I almost cried. Now i try and avoid checking it. But if i see a rally going I cant look away, its addictive, better then watching sports. This last jump i was checking just as it started. Basically stayed up for 2 days (checking during the night/working during the day) watching it. Its bad. I should stop.

Same here, especially when I hit the home button, I can see the price and check it often in bitcoinwisdom via my laptop. This price increase sure made a lot of us paranoid for the price.

I think if you're a trader then surely need to watch our price many times in a day to make correct decisions on when to sell or buy but any one invested in for long time then no need to watch out price so many times in a day. I do buy and sell these coins regularly but not a day trader then also I don't see price so regularly but surely less then 10 times a day.

Bought two days in a row in 2013 at an average of $307. I made two extremely lucky alt coin investments Litecoin and Applecoin at the same time, which I traded for BTC in January 2014 or else I probably would have been sick watching the last two years. Ultimately my average for my BTC landed at around $150 and I have been content holding for two years just watching and waiting. I buy a few more when i get the chance.

I have owned stocks and real estate. I don't mind the rollercoaster, it is a bleeding edge investment I am glad to be part of history regardless of what happens but damn right I am a hodler and long and will ride this into the ground if necessary.

When the price hitting higher and higher I did check price ticker so often out of a excitement. I believe most of the people will do the same even further don't and market too. Probably within a day I might have  checked some 50 times.

It sounds like the majority of you are as loopy as me. I've checked twice today and I've only been awake 1hour.

In times like this where we go up I have stopped counting how often I check the price.
Since a few days bitcoinwisdom is running several hours on my second screen. :D
