Is it good or bad that I did not heard of some of the scams listed in this article? There were not that big to hit me?
That last place is the best tho: Honorable mention: U.S. Democracy. And this is the true biggest scam ever...

I haven't heard of any of these, either. You would expect to see some of the large cloud mining scams that filled these forums. Cloudthink comes to mind, but cointelegraph actively promoted the site, so I imagine they most likely wouldn't contradict themselves.

I only heard about the MMM Ponzi scheme as it is regarded as the reason for the recent rise of bitcoin. Never heard of other scams.

Only heard of the MMM one thus far.

Not sure on what they based the 'top 5' on, was it numbers of users affected or amounts involved or just based on their own assumption that these were the top 5 scams?

I honestly hope that these MMM guys are not messing with Bitcoin. These are professional crooks and they will just chew us and spit us away like nothing after they are done with us. These guys can really damage our reputation.

Also where is BTER on this list? 7,000+ BTCs and don't get started how this wasn't proven inside job.
