Am I the only person here that feels relieved when they lose all their Bitcoins due to gambling ? I don't have to deal with the constant planning and dreaming in my head that maybe this time I will recoup my losses. I find that I also sleep like a baby afterwards.

Maybe sooner or later i too will feel relaxed like you after i sell out all my btcs and empty my wallet

yeah i also have like this nature , when i have coins in hand i loose them gambling , i keep on gambling and biting my nails for result and as soon as i loose i just go to sleep and feel relived, but after few days researched i understood the more you have easy access to coins the more you will loose , so now i keep cold wallet which takes around half an hour to open so i cant gamble much.

That happened several times, and i dont feel so much relax like u people do, also i dont freak up. Its more something like melanholic. I also think its good thing with this cold storage ( waiting time make u forget about gambling). Every time i say to myself :"More luck next time" and i also sleep nice.

i just felt like this when i lost my 2 btc in one dice bet with 95 % win chance  :'(  :'(  :'(

how many bitcoin you talk about? Because if a lose 0,05 ok, 0,1 i'm said, but if a lose 0,5 bitcoin to sport betting (i play more time to sport betting and not to dice and similar) i destroid my keyboard  ;D

I actually get exaclty what you mean. Sometimes, gambling is just too much for me and once it's all gone, I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Well you have the right attitude at least. The idea is that you should be having fun and only bet money you can lose. Then it's all fair. Please don't fool yourselves that gambling will make you rich, it will leave you in ruins if you play long enough.

After losing my bitcoins in gambling im doing nothing and thinking why im play for losing then sometimes i just want to play again to gett back my all loses but still sad... so badluck for.. I think i need to stop playing gambling.. in the firstime a play i win but in the next lost with the winning profit...

what you are replying is the feeling of all gambler who when losses continuously and try to convince itself by telling that they will bounce back with full force, but what op is telling is correct, when you lose everything and have nothing then you dont need to plan and just relax.

Most people when loosing will feel bad and if they lost too much they would feel the need to recover what they lost and thats where addiction starts, then you end up, probably, loosing even more and soon you will be gambling with your last savings, i personally never done that, i did lose quite a lot of btc in gambling but is just btc that i got from this forum, mining and other things so it was not really money that i worked hard for nor a lot of money. If i was loosing even 50$ from my work i would definitely be more mad.

When I gamble, I hope to win. I also accept that the bet money will be gone and not coming back. So when I actually loose the bet, I don't plan to recoup any losses. I know this sounds weird. When I don't have an expectation to breakeven, I do not feel the urge to continue betting.

I guess it's the same feeling as going to the Casino and the ATM blocking your card from further withdrawals forcing you to go home!

Well, it depends on how much I lose. When I lost my knife on csgojackpot, I was depressed for months until I traded up to my better knife.

But if I Gamble a few mBTC, I feel fine, although annoyed.

But most of the addicted gamblers may be thinking on how to get some more money to gamble again. This will lead them to thick even harder to find a ways to generate money first to gamble again to bring back their loses. That's why we see may gamblers will be taking loans either with whatever they have collateral or they will try to cheat people to get money for gamble.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Fortunately I haven't lost all my bitcoin yet, and I am not too sure what I would feel if that happen. By the way, when you are constantly thinking about your bets and your losses, it is IMHO a sign that you are addicted already. It is better to seek help at the point before the addiction gets out of control.

Many gamblers who has addicted these games after losing all their money then they try to borrow money for gambling and they will be ready to do anything for money.

You should be lucky that you can sleep like baby after losing money. But one still want to continue betting after losing money then I believe that when you lose a lot of money you have to reevaluate yourself both your bankroll and your discipline. First analyze what kind of money you should be betting now. Can you still afford to bet like you did before? Did you lose because you managed your money improperly? Understand the reasons why you lost and be reasonable.

I'm the total opposite. I like down in my beds for hours and subset in my bed. That's why I don't Gamble anymore.

I don't bet for more than $25 and if i sense that I don't win for at least five bets, I would rethink of discontinuing and do it the next day. So i haven't lose all my bitcoin but if ever, I'd probably regret it betting for that game.

I myself go through this stage almost daily.I earn some coins and then lose some of them betting.
Then i spend rest ot the day to search for some tips to atleast recover my loss and earn some profit and guess what i lose all bitcoins then i felt relieved that i can't gamble now because i don't have bitcoins to gamble anymore.

I feel you OP. Variance can be a real bitch sometimes. We all gotta take our licks. Exercising proper bankroll management though will help diminish your RoR (Risk of Ruin).

That is a natural. There are no people in this world that satisfied when they are losing, at least they need to recover their loss no need profit just need their balance back again, that is why they keep on gambling to slowly earn their loss

Keep on trying until they lose all their money and start borrow money for recovering lost money but at the end in deep trouble.

that sounds like crazy talk to me, if you actually feel like that when you're gambling why not just send to an empty bitcoin adress and pretend like you lost it in gambling. then couple months later spend from the private key and get happy cuz you got a bonus. personally i like gamblng because its fun, i dont plan when im gambling  :D.

It happened to me before. I was much relieved after I lost my bitcoins as I do not have to think how to win back my bitcoin after losing everything.

Sorry about that. How much have you lost in total? If I am in your situation (I hope I will never be), I guess I will be very upset and regretful rather than being relieved.

LOL, I had that feeling to from time to time, and I don't really understand why. I think it's like I made a mistake and come to terms with it, and felt relieved about it, like the possibility to start over with a new strategy. I only lost all my gambling money in the beginning. Now I have more strict bankroll management rules, so It never happened again.

Once I can't sleep after I loss all my bits. I thought that I can make massive profit with it and the fact it busted me out. So I'm stop gamble for a while.
As we know sometimes our greed recall us again to make a bet and for now I'm bet with relax and afford to lose

That would suck for all those hours you could of worked or done something else more valuable for your time.

Isn't that how it is? You stop for awhile but you always end up back again to try and recoup your losses.
It is a never ending roller coaster ride.
I think the only thing that could be done is to know when to stop when you have won alittle, not to try and get coins back all at once. Because luck does run out, but live to fight another day  ;)

How many did you lose that you can't even sleep? I guess many people said dont bet all of your money at least you can save it for your financial problem. Greed sometimes with a luck you can earn profit but always get your greedines overtake you is a bad thing

Well every time I tried doing solo mining I knew the risks of betting money on hashrate. Same as dicing.

Personally, I don't gamble much, but when I do, when I lose my bitcoins, it depends if it's a big amount or a small amount. If it's a small amount, like OP I'm usually happier when I lose, but if it's a big amount then I feel bad. I didn't like feeling like this, so now I only gamble for fun with small amounts.

Playing gambling is fun in the first place but in the end you losing it all your money then you will think always . i mean its repeating in my mind that how much i was lost.
Sometimes i cant forgot how much i lost so if i had money again i will play it to get back all my losses but nothings happen it always in the end loss... playing gambling makes me stress after i  lose..

For me it will be a bad feeling, no one will be happy after loosing the money and no one wants to loose the money. Its always better to play with smaller amounts and keep some balance rather than loosing all the coins.

You think people don't know that? Do you think they bet all their money without knowing the odds? It's called addiction for a reason, if they were reasonable enough they woulnd't be even gambling in the first place.

That's definitely not me. I have more than 100 BTC and I can't stand losing them all in gambling. That would be nightmare for me, not baby sleep.

At least you use tour BTC for some purpose, IMHO it is OK.

If I would not trade altcoins in the past, not have used my XAPO card for 6 months with shopping and not gambled at all, I would have now about 11 BTCs...I've really enjoyed to use it.

Im the same way lol, i dont get how someone could be relieved AFTER theyve lost their money?. if i was in your shoes and actually didnt like dealing with the betting id just do one big bet and get it over with. and wouldn't you sleep a more comfortable sleep if you knew that your bitcoins are still safe and with you, other than theyre in someone elses wallet?.

Well, thats the basic, when you die you can not have anything of ownings with you, it is all about karma. If you have liven good life you will have good second one, or if bad life then worse next one. Or if you have reached "god" status you have not to rebirth in this planet anymore. :D

If you reach the point when you feel better when you lose everything so you can't gamble, then something is very wrong.

It's a small compensation if you can sleep at night after losing all your Bitcoins, at least it's something you gain. Having a large amount is nice in some ways, but the downside is worrying about losing them if you are trying to gamble them into more coins. The stress and sleep deprivation can damage your physical health in the long term.

It is fun when you are winning but losing is hard to believe it. That is gambling sometimes you will up and sometimes you will down so whether you can hold it until you going up again it depends on you and your balance too

 I dont gamble much in casion,if i am wining i want more and that i am loosing,i ve been gamble by trading altcoin but it is to much for me,alts are also kind hype gambling.I ve been thinking to invest in casino,but it is to much suffring of other people .Casinos are making incredible money behind that is sometimes personal people  tragady

For those who have really bad gambling problem I want to suggest start to collecting money from faucets and play with them. Not because I am running faucets, I am maybe running faucets because of my own problems, but it is better than wasting living by gambling.

what do you mean by faucet? gambling sites faucet to try out the site or the faucet sites to claim free bitcoins and recieve it to your address and gamble it after? IMO using gambling sites faucet to reach the minimum withdraw to profit is kinda hard and for the faucet sites that dispence free bitcoins, its just another time wasting site so i dont suggest it to gamblers

There is lot of faucets around. You can collect some amount what you can gamble without depending site where you are gambling. You can easily collect few 100k satoshis a day or even million at the moment. And if you collect them to some service like Coinbase what dont charge transaction fees it helps a lot.

Same here, I am in rage whenever I faced a huge loss in a single day (losing 0.1 hurts tho), and then I feel relieved when I finally lose my anger about my losses. I always dream (also daydream) that I can win a jackpot on sportsbook and my favorite luck-based website. :)

I go through quite a few phases while and after gambling.

1 - Exited at a little bit of profit

2 - Angry when I lose

3 - Horrified when I lose everything

4 - Relaxed, I have no more worry of losing my money

5 - Depressed, when I keep thinking about my losses

6 - Ecstatic when I get more money that I can use for a recoup of my losses

7 - Anxious when I get back into gambling, I dont want to list anymore

That's actually what casinos are hoping for. They are basically counting on people's emotions and that's how they end up making millions.

Quit gambling you idiot ! Get all your bitcoins in to an alt coin Im putting all mine in DigiCube. GEt 1000 Cube earn 50 a day through staking make 0.1+ a day for leaving computer on.

I know how this feeling is. Fortunately it`s sime time I learned it. I try to avoid it and follow some simple things like:
- do not bet big amount, just what I can afford to loose
- do not try to catch first loss with martingale or big bet next time
- if I lost, then I step out and try to do other things, may be for few days

Most alt-coins nowadays are a gamble. Even if you stake coins, who's to say they will still have the same btc value as when you bought them? Or if you are mining them you still are using your electricity.

Because alt-coins are just there to be like hey we got a cool name. Most, if not all are now just ico scams, developers not continuing development on coins, and just copies of every other coin deployed out there.

I think the odds are better dicing than making a lot off an alt-coin. Only recent coin I played with was unbreakable coin back in December to February. It was amazing to mine it, then everyone dumped it, ran with what they could. It has been waiting for a block adjustment for 9 months and counting now. It had a difficulty about half of Bitcoin's difficulty at the time I believe.

I don't feel good when i lose gambling. But I normaly only gamble with less than 0.01 Btc (possibly a little more with sport bets) . To avoid temptations i have my bitcoins in cold storage, i only can gamgle with my mobile app wallet, and it never has more than 1 bitcoin.

Just one time i had in that situation and lost all my coins cause of got panic but after this i got recovered after sometimes and now i am doing responsible gambling with that amount i can afford to lose.

haha yah, gamble is really a very dangerous habit. it can be very addictive and at times hard to control. i have been through my phrase and i am glad we both now know how to be better responsible gambling.

I know what you mean exactly! I am the same type of person. I work in 1 or 0 cycles. Either I am doing something fully and I am fully dedicated or I don't do it at all.
With gaming and gambling is the same. I want to plan, execute and win. But there is small problem when odds are against me I lose. But I control myself to the point I won't bet everything.

I've experienced this once a while back, losing quite a few bitcoins from dice sites... I just felt really depressed for a bit then woke up the next day wondering "wait, why am I sad?" and then realizing.... "oh right."

last week I lost all my bitcoin on sports gambling, yes almost a week I do not gamble, but this time I get free capital and will return to play :)

I feel even more sad/depressed when it's not just a gambling site, but something like a ponzi "doubler" site... a while back, I thought, "mehh, what the hell... I mean it's something I can 'afford' to lose" ... then lost it when he ran away.  I didn't think much of it at first, but then I really started to feel absolutely idiotic for trying something like that again (have done it twice now, worst decisions ever).

Can you be more specific? There is huge difference when all your bitcoins is 0.1 BTC between case when  you are early adopter with thousands bitcoins in hand.
Anyway, don't play with all your coins... That is first golden rule of gambling.

Its gives a excitement and thrill to make more coins from the coins i won , on the other hand after loosing , it gives me mental peace and i leave my laptop for few hours saying that gambling is bad and house alway wins.

In gambling you will literally lose someday because you are against the house. If you gamble don't gamble for profit. Gamble only for recreation don't think of winning at all.

That's good advice, definitely only gamble for fun. However, there are some games that are not against the house, such as poker, sports betting and PvP games, some people make a living off these games. However, it does take skill to win these games, so play within your limit.

If they were trashy money yes, if was like 2 or 3 BTC I wouldn't sleep like a baby.
But if I lose.0.2 or 0.3 it's ok.

IMO it's good you can sleep like a baby after losing all your Bitcoin. This means you are losing that amount which you can afford to lose. I wish all the gamblers were like you.

It is also good that you are not trying to recover your losses because this leads to more losses in general.

I think he loss is money deliberately. And all of these things he done is only for fun that why he didnt feel any depressed or sad, he got plenty of money to play there may be that is he reason to gambling from the start ;D

It will be a really bad day if I loose all the bitcoins, I will blame myself why I did't stopped it.  Everyone feels bad when they loose their money, no one will be happy after loosing the money. Its a bad feeling and I think no one should go through such situation.

No OP, it's better to keep your bitcoins and just forget you have any. You won't have to worry or plan anything, but you may be up for a pleasant surprise when the price reaches 4 digits again ;)

That is the common feeling for everyone who has lost their hard earned money in gambling. But after that, some people will realize and will never come back to gambling but most of them will try to earn back their loses where they lost so finally they will lose more in gambling. I think gambling should be fun game and should gambling once in awhile instead gambling every day.

well, gambling overall is a form of habit/entertainment. it is just like saying to people who like to play computer games, they may not loss $$ but they lose a lot of their times and some even relationship. do they learn from it and get away from gaming? most hard to do so, but there is some learn how to tone down while some learn how to go on professional level to make the habit/entertainment worthwhile.

it's not about fun ,people get addicted to things they dont know or just because they dont have other activities and its a peace when they are free from it.

I never faced that kind of situation so it will be much hard for me explain what a person feel on this kind of situation but i can feel it is really worst feeling when we lost our amount while gambling even it is small or big but feeling awkward on this.

Personally, I don't gamble much, but when I do, when I lose my bitcoins, it depends if it's a big amount or a small amount.
If it's a small amount, like OP I'm usually happier when I lose, but if it's a big amount then I feel bad.

I dont feel better after loosing my coins. I think I feel worse. The bad part it isn't even alot I mean I think the most I have lost is like .03 total over 1 year and a half. I have won more than that. But never gamble more than I am willing to loose. Which is always pennies. I want to cry when I lose like 100k and cant imagine what it feels like to loose a whole coin. God I might have a heart attack or something.

Whats the use of them just lying in one wallet corner? I would want my bitcoins to grow while sitting idle.So one can rather invest or use it to loan or trade them.There are many alternatives to gambling you know.

But isn't a loan just as bad a gambling? I mean even loaning your coins to a person with high trust is a risk. Maybe they are hoping to hit a winning strike on gambling.  And for the trade part. Do you mean trade as in buy and selling of bitcoins. Doesn't that also involve risk just like gambling?

But if seriously is think that small loses is not a big deal if you can afford it. But you always need to know your limit and gamblers usually cannot stop. And that's where the troubles start

Gambling has its risks, if you can afford to loose, will be better not to play with your money. I try not playing with so much, I only use few bits to gamble if i win i will be happy, but if i loose, i will loose a few bits.

I would be prefer hope the others can win although they wouldn't win much. And if they keep betting on gambling in the long run, they just keep giving money to the casino / owners of the gambling sites.

if youre taking bets and chances that could actually lead to you being in a financial crisis and having to resort to having to sell off your possessions, i would definitely say you have a gambling problem. trading your standard of life and accumulated wealth for a few cheap thrills is never worth it.

As for other sites that don't keep tracking of your wins and losses then that's not as fun because its harder to keep a tally on it.

I lose everything in altcoins, I believed in empty promises of developers. Gambling not promise anything except fun. You have chances to win. In alts you have to wait and wait and recieeve noting in the end. Altcoins for me more gamble when gambling and I hope to recover my loss by gambling.

You will more then likely won't have that feeling anymore when people make shitload of profit after 5-10 years , you can trust me on this .
On the other hand , it's also your fault because you gambled . You should know that nothing good comes out from gambling .

I don't think they can do that. Its built to be decentralized so  the government  probably have to create their own. They probably can't figure where to start.

Hopefully not going all out conspiracy theory but what happens if either the government already owns Bitcoin and just playing with us or the NSA has everybody's private keys but just waiting for illegal activity so they can bust you.
