Title: What's the most empowering thing on an individual level?
Post by: worhiper_-_ on November 01, 2015, 05:04:23 AM
I watched a short video  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKIu9yen5nc)yesterday and something that I kept thinking about afterwards was that learning to code can be a very empowering skill. This made me think about what else can empower individuals. What are your thoughts on this?

Great question.

Language is empowering. And coding counts as a language.

I think efficient use of time is empowering. I don't use mine as efficiently as a I should or want...and it's the one resource that if wasted you can never recover. More money can be made. More time cannot.

Making a to-do list every day and keeping a journal to track your goals.

I think knowledge itself is empowering. It might be basic knowledge of science for day problems or it may be philosophical knowledge to solve complex problems.
