It's a good step as it will create awareness among people for using btc more and more.
Stores which have started accepting btc are (1) Cloth sellers-- Local cloth retailers have started selling clothes for btc. (2) Electronic gadgets like mobile devices, PCs are also sold for btc in some stores. Most pack of seeds are around 1-3$ each set, the shipping cost is flat rate at 8$ for international shipping. If not, how long will you keep the bitcoin? Yes it instantly transfer the Canadian value to bitcoin, and keep that value for at least 2 hours. You have to make a payment before the timer run out otherwise it will be rejected and you will need to create another order.
