Title: Singapore pretends to be pro bitcon
Post by: Bitcoinpro on November 02, 2015, 01:32:25 PM
Atleast Russia gives a nice warning to the citizens to be careful

In Singapore if u use bitcoin u will be an assasination target

the second u leave Changi airport, it may take a significant

time before it is actually atempted, for me the hit came within

about 4 hrs of leaving Changi airport as I was only staying a day,

That's pretty aggressive news... What happened for you to be such a target? I find it hard to believe everyone is a target right out of the box :o What if we all go there? We can't be killed based out of nothing...

Wow man, that sounds pretty scary. But what happened? You aren't giving any details. We need to know so other people that travel to china take the required prevention measures to avoid any of that happening. Personally I would never travel with anything that has Bitcoin on it. If I wanted to get Bitcoins inside another country I would just send them to a friend there and then the friend sends them back to me when we meet, for example.

You do realise that Singapore is a completely separate country to China don't you?

As for an assassination attempt I wonder whether the OP is just trying to entertain (and if not then I'd like to know how he managed to dodge such an attempt - is he actually some sort of Bourne identity?).

And I always thought that Singapore is a Bitcoin friendly country.
What is the reason for that? :o
Can you give a bit more details please!

Nonsense- please proved some facts to back your claims.

Been in the game since 2013, have transacted $1m + of buys/sales in Singapore and have had not problems with the government or men in black visiting me.

I wouldn't say they are pro-bitcoin. From my conversations, they are neutral to bitcoin, with an interest in blockchain technology.

Hmm. I am a Singaporean and I have been using Bitcoin for more than a year now. Nothing have ever happened to me. No one have tried to steal my Bitcoin. No government organization have send me a letter or knock on my door. Well. Dont try to spread rumor. At least give some more details and proofs.

The world has become mental. You know something is wrong when the vice president tries to assassinate the president in the Maldives. Now I thought that was some weird news but this one takes the cake. I don't want to own BTC if I go into singapore. I don't want to be so paranoid to have to watch over my shoulder every 5 minutes.
If it is rumor then dispell this crap.

OP has been spreading weird news and stuff of late - check his previous posts. I can attest to the fact that Singapore is one of the safer countries, if not a 'nanny state' at most.  They're pretty pro bitcoin in the sense that they're exploring bitcoin actively.

Agree with you. Singapore is one of the least corrupted country in the world. I remember there was lot of news around Bitcoin during the Bitcoin bubbles in late 2013 and early 2014. I also remember watching a television forum discussing about Bitcoin. They invited lot of reputed member to the forum and discuss lot of thing about Bitcoin such as security.

Looking at this legendary member posts ... the below quote could get him into some kind of trouble. If he ever want to visit Singapore ... worst if he live in Singapore.

T

Singapore government runs a full blown slave prostitutiin n drug smuggling ring from

their internarional airport!

 :D

Total rubbish.

"Singapore pretends to be pro bitcon"

Its bitcoin

Bitcoin is not a con, its a normal currency, this post make it look like they are into some sort of scam when they arent.

That's really harsh if the thing you mentioned is as a fact true as I don't see any real reason why would a country make a rule for a virtual currency that the users get targeted or rather "assasination target" as you said... I've been also in Singapore on short term basis before and they do have some strict rules compared to other countries however I found it hard for this to be real, maybe a misunderstanding along the way perhaps?

I would be crapping my pants if I was in your situation. Why does this happen so out of the blue, you leave the airport and suddenly your a target for assassins. I don't really think that they are that aggressive that they are going to try kill you just for using Bitcoin. It seems kind of weird and I think you must have done something to make them try kill you. I have been to Singapore multiple times and have not experienced what you have.

I could not figure out, what he or she was on about, until I browsed the post history.  ::)

Hmmm, spam  :o

u want some too ?

ill have u know i can see through solid concrete walls

ya just need 1000 volts and few amps the feeling is quite incredible

:)

OP likes to joke around and troll in some posts, so it's probably just another post where he fools around.  ??? Making statements like this without proof on a public forum could

land him in a world of trouble, if someone takes the time to dox him/her. If this has happened, he/she should report it to the local authorities, not post it on a public forum.

Please supply some evidence that this has happened.  ???

so this is a first case of pure trolling, he is not carrying any signature, and i see him with this kind of post very often

it can be a stolen account or something like that

Yes, this is the thing that came to my mind as well. A freaking assassination after you left an airport because you use bitcoins. Come on, give me a break.

But then again I have seen OP's legendary status, so this makes you think about it twice. Maybe the trolls and FUDsters have decided to raise their game a notch or two and they started trolling by using hero and legendary accounts.

OH COMEON. I have used the Bitcoin ATM here over tens of times and I haven't been assassinated yet. Well, I wouldn't be alive now if it is really true right?

Jokes aside, I'm really surprised seeing legendary members spreading FUDs all around the forum. IIRC, you did a similar post to this. Do you hold any grudge against the country or it's people?

I only manage to understand there was a danger for you related to singapore and Bitcoin. Could you expand a bit on that?
