Title: [2015-11-03] Bitcoin is getting its own Unicode symbol

Bitcoin is getting its own Unicode symbol

The announcement comes as the digital currency is seeing a rise in value. The chosen symbol will be added to Unicode in its next update, which will likely come out next year. When it does, coders will be able to use the new symbol as they would a U.S. dollar symbol ($) or U.K. pound (£).

That's definitely something valuable and it's good to see that we'll have our own official character to use. It should look good as well too now that it has properly been defined and designed and is going to be implemented as its own character, and not just represented by some makeshift alternative!

Good news. I remember someone on here was involved in applying for it. Congrats to them.

That is really great and at least we will have unified BTC symbol. But where is the symbol itself? It will be this BTC or some other variation?
I am asking because Bitcoin currency code is not unified and is either BTC or XBT.
