The announcement comes as the digital currency is seeing a rise in value. The chosen symbol will be added to Unicode in its next update, which will likely come out next year. It should look good as well too now that it has properly been defined and designed and is going to be implemented as its own character, and not just represented by some makeshift alternative!

I am asking because Bitcoin currency code is not unified and is either BTC or XBT. |
