Title: [2015-11-05] Electrum Wallet Reviewed: Personal and Reddit Reviews Post by: Sturgeon on November 05, 2015, 06:41:45 AM Electrum prides itself on the following benefits:
Fast – the client does not download the blockchain, it requests that information from a server. No delays, always up-to-date. Safe – Your private keys are encrypted and never leave your computer. Your wallet can be recovered from a secret phrase. You can also keep your private keys offline, and go online with a watching-only wallet. Private – Your private keys are not shared with the server. You do not have to trust the server with your money. Your private keys are encrypted and never leave your computer. The server does not store user accounts. You are not tied to a particular server, and the server does not need to know you. read more : https://99bitcoins.com/electrum-wallet-review-personal-reddit/ Title: Re: [2015-11-05] Electrum Wallet Reviewed: Personal and Reddit Reviews Post by: RustyNomad on November 05, 2015, 09:49:39 AM Have to agree on the fact that Electrum is one of the best wallets out there. Not mentioned in the article is that it can also be setup to be completely portable i.e. on a USB drive by making use of the 'portable' version.
For those involved with alt coins there are also Electrum-LTC and Encompass which is based on Electrum. So you can have a alt coin wallet with the same look, feel and functionality. Encompass has not seen any updates in months but I'm expecting a new update to be released soon. SPV wallet (no need to download blockchain) is a big plus. The only thing I want it to improve is allow send to multiple addresses in the UI. It is possible now using manual methods, I like it to be more user-friendly in this area with buttons to add address and a box to fill in amount.

It can be done in the UI by entering the address and a comma and the value then enter for next one, so it will look something like this: https://i.imgur.com/def6h0W.jpg |
