I'm trying to get some idea and how it may work and possible earn thru a bitcoin blog.  is it still a good idea to create a blog about bitcoin?

Well I mean, Roger Ver made another Bitcoin forum with some other crypto-anarchists due to some crying about "censorship" (even though talking about BIP100 vs BIP101 was never banned) due to Coinbase trying to centralise our decision-making regarding the Bitcoin protocol, so if they can do it with a forum, I'm sure you can do it with a blog!

try something that is not wrong. if you are diligent and eager to make all the things I believe will be good. and no exception craate blog about bitcoin.  :D

I like to read Bitcoin related blogs from time to time, especially when they are unbiased. I think that's one of the most important things, never show a bias towards a certain group or thing, etc. Good luck with your blog.

Try making one with a little bit of entertainment and not just those articles and stuff that you can see on some other blogs. Also make a blog that is fully understandable and newbie friendly, you might get some viewers with it.

It is definitely a great idea to spread knowledge but there is plenty of Bitcoin information sites and it isn't necessary for another unless you are able to provide very informative content. You could still write up on current Bitcoin issue like Bitcoin XT for example. It won't generate particularly much in ad revenue than faucets though.

Every website blog or whatever helps to get bitcoin known to the rest of the world.

If you are a good writer, there is a chance that you can get sufficient traffic to make some earnings.

It's never too late to create a blog about *any* subject.
Just put a lot of effort into your articles and make sure to add unique content that provides value for the reader.

Yes I do have a unique idea for bitcoin blog but I just don't have the amount to buy a domain. I do however have a blogger page as an alternative but I'm not sure if its going to help visitors trust. And i wanted advertisers on my blog as well so a domain may something i indeed need.

well it is a good idea to try to blog becuz blog has become quite a profitable market. so any topic will works but the problem is how you bring out the topic that can catch people interest. btc is not new and there is a lot of blog on btc. how are you gonna differentiate so that reader will stick to you. that is the real challenge.

certainly, it all depends on your content, if its good then your blog will succeed.

It is never a bad idea to start a blog for anything. Bitcoin is still a relatively new thing. Start the blog and make sure that (a) Your blog is regularly updated with relevant articles and news and (b) you spend sufficient time promoting it online (offline too if you can). Ensure that you get maximum traffic on your blog.

The Bitcoin community is growing rapidly but is still very small, you would need to put out top quality content consistently in order to attract a decent following. If you invest enough time, energy and patience into it, I think it'll work

Most of the things I've read about starting a blog is that even though there may be a lot of blogs about a certain topic you may have a unique viewpoint, perspective, or way of explaining things that attracts people to your blog.

With that said most things I've read as well says that blogs are not over night success's. It takes a long time to start making a few cents per month and takes a long while before you start making worthwhile money. If you know about SEO and stuff like that you'll have a lot better chance at being successful.

I'd say if it's something you're passionate about and think you can create updates on a daily/weekly/monthly basis then go for it!

I would like to read a blog that explain basic stuff about it and updated news everyday with a personal commentary, predictions on btc value.. Yeah you can make one and also earn some money advertising other webs

Try to make your own blog about the Bitcoin but don't copy paste the articles and try to post yours as possible as you can, you may this way get some visitors for your blog

The problem with blogs is that how long can you keep posting articles to it.
The competition is high as well when it comes to bitcoin, you will be competing with news sites and exchange sites with blogs as well.

I would say go for it! More exposure for Bitcoin out there, the better! If you don't end up earning what you expected, at least you will help the whole community in exposure and user adoption.

Of course, if you would have some great and interesting topics, this would definitely help out a lot to stand out from competition out there!

Just like with any other website with proper keyword research and well written and organized content, complete with other media you can go for it. This niche is big and you can fit right through in. Competition is always good for the market.

Of course man, but you have to write some interesting articles about cryptocurrencies. At the same time you have to advertise your blog with some banner on bitcointalk.org or at least you have to do a signature campaign.

Because of blog, i could visit bct forum. Blog really makes benefits. Not just for forum traffic, blog maker also got benefit as well. Example when blog maker introduce about Bitcoin, they can include some ref link for commission purpose

Personally, I'd say it was an idea just as good as any other. You'll want to make sure you have something that sets you apart from other places, like maybe a faucet or other incentive to get your blog some attention. This could also bring in new users of bitcoin. If you decide to do this, you can also incorporate a faucet rotator, with your referral links, of course. I think it's always good idea to create a blog about Bitcoin, because this can helps to advertise this crypto currency and support it as well, and many people still not learning anything about Bitcoin

I think you will be very difficult to compete with a blog or other website, because many blogs/websites about bitcoin. but not too late, if you are sure you can compete and make an interesting article that was nice.

it's a little late for that mostly because there are tons of large first-page in google sites, news sites and blogs about bitcoin in general, to actually rank high you would need to sub-specialize in something related to bitcoins (mining, investment sites etc...). The market is never fully saturated but you will get few readers only if you don't do something unique.

if you try to get bitcoin from your blog with real traffic was very difficult, because so many blogs about bitcoin, maybe your blog is at 1m page :D

because I myself have make a blog to try to get bitcoin, but bad no one was visiting to my blog. but I try to wear bot and can produce a bitcoin, but the results were very small. then I leave all that work

OP is talking about EARNING Bitcoins through it, not to create awareness of Bitcoin. IMO, there is already a lot of informative articles about Bitcoin, there isn't much earning opportunities for a new one.

well we don't really know what's detailed content in his post maybe he does it with the infographic way which attracts more visitors (just give out an example). In my opinion it's never late at all ;D

I don't think so, because they are already so much a blog and website about bitcoin. i think better build faucet with more ads that make you more profit than blog about bitcoin. but you create a blog is a great idea if you can manage it.

Not a good idea to have pop ups, keep in mind they're annoying to readers even to you i suppose you click x when you see one. It only works for adult sites as maniacs are very persistence just to see nude puss.

Never too late, depends on the content. I suggests use words that is easy to understand. When I read blogs about bitcoins, I can't understand most of the terms so end up not reading them.

I think he will be spend much cost a few months to build a good web about bitcoin. but if you want a free, blogger pretty good but I am sure this will not have a lot of visitors

99% of the people in the world do not know about bitcoin. The price is ready $400. If 20% of the people know about bitcoin, the price will be much higher.

not so long really, I just learn bitcoin from other forum and was interested because I can see there is a huge community behind it. I can just write anything about what I learned to also guide fellow newbies.

Creating his owned content isn't enough to make some profit from blogging about Bitcoins nowadays, he still need a big budget to advertise his blog and get his alexa rank up, and need consuming a lot of money before earning somethings.

At this point thats going to be largely dependent on how creative a writer you are and what kind of traffic you can drive to your site.  Obviously there is more and more competition in the bitcoin space in this arena.

Sure, I think it's a great idea--but maintaining a blog is kinda hard.  I did one years ago and you really have to like to write and write often.  I would think doing one with a focus on bitcoin would be even harder than one just about your everyday life, as you'd have to keep coming up with topics and so forth.  I'm sure you've thought of that already, but if you're interested in it, do it!  Sounds like a fun thing to do and yeah, maybe you could earn at the same time.  Good luck, sir.

But you can also hire a writter to write content about bitcoin, and of course you will need fund to do that. but if the content is good, why not hire them for increase your visitors.

Almost everyday a new bitcoin site is created, most of them are investment sites that ends up scamming people, a blog can help warn others by blogging about that new site and give an honest feedback.

In my honest opinion, I don't think it will be a good idea having a blog about bitcoin right now. Bitcoin is not yet on mainstream and you'll probably get less traffic than you expect. There are also lots of bitcoin blogs right now and you'll have some difficulty competing with them. I think running a faucet with good rates will be better than that.

Nope. Making a blog about bitcoin related topics is quite a good idea up to today even there are lots of blogs about that.
