Title: Re: Bitcoin Transaction Validation Error
Post by: Tony28 on November 08, 2015, 01:45:32 PM
Hi

Every time i try to send Bitcoins to any address i get the following message:

There are not enough funds in this wallet to send 1.11138333 BTC ($426.03)
Note that you can only spend confirmed transactions.
Remember that the sender pays a fee.

Can someone PLEASE guide me how to over come this transaction issue & what it means that i can only spend confirmed transactions?

How much minimum funds do i need since the message says that i don't have enough funds in my wallet?

Thanks in Advance.

Any advice is much appreciated

What client are you using?

This usually means the BTC you have aren't confirmed yet.

What wallet are you using ?
Also tell me how much you have in your Bitcoin wallet (the whole) number and how much you are trying to send ? and it says exactly what it means , when you receive bitcoins it may take few minutes to get the transaction confirmed by the miners so if the transaction is not confirmed , you can 't send it to someone else until it get confirmed and it may be the case for you (answer my questions above) , it's that easy .

I have heard a lot of similar issues to this occurring on the BlockChain.info wallets.
If you are using a 3rd party web-wallet or something alike I would highly suggest you cease immediately. They are highly susceptible to bugs and programming errors which could ultimately lead to the loss of bitcoins one day and there's nothing the company will do to assist you.

He's using multibit classic. I have gotten this several times. When looking at the transactions tab, there should be at least a portion of yellow in the circle for each transaction. Otherwise, change the amount smaller by 0.0001BTC, this is used to pay the fee. If you still receive that error, decrease another 0.0001BTC on top of that.

Hi

I am using Multibit Classic 0.5.19 client as in Multibit HD i could not import my Bitcoins.

I am not using any third party wallet!

Total number of Bitcoins in my wallet are: 1.11138333 BTC & i am trying to send everything.

How much do i need to deduct when sending Bitcons from my total wallet amount 1.11138333 BTC....? Taking into consideration that i have to pay a fee as well for a transaction.

How do i get my transaction confirmed?

Thanks in Advance.

Any advice is much appreciated

You need to minus the fee of 0.0001 from your transaction in order to send it.

Deduct at least 0.0001btc if it doesn't work, deduct 0.0002BTC. Your transaction would confirm eventually. There is an import option in multibit HD too.

Hi

Thanks  to all those who contributed to this thread.

PROBLEM NOW SOLVED

I did not take into account the transaction fees therefore the validation error was occuring.

I send the total wallet amount minus fees and its done.
