Title: SCAMMED FOR $4.50 IN MARKETPLACE BY USER: Ninjahitoko
Post by: librty on November 08, 2015, 03:48:37 PM
What happened:: I needed an NBA league pass so me and my friends could watch today. I only need it today.

I paid the user, and he gave me a non working account. I told him so, and he said he will give me a new one by the end of the day. The thing is, I need it now, because my friends are coming soon. It will be useless to me if I get it at the end of the day.

I insisted he refund me, and he started calling me a broke peice of shit, and said he won't be refunding me.

The messages are inspect elemented, anyone that has dealt with me would know that I would never say anything like that.
I do NOT provide refunds. I clearly stated that on my post. Also I told him that I would get the account by the end of the day.

You know you are buying a stolen NBA league passcode.  It is worth $100, not $4.50!

What do you expect when you deal with criminals?

In my opinion you are not entitled to a refund, you are entitled to the product you paid for.. Which is a stolen NBA league-pass that is highly liable to not work at any given time and should be purchased/checked long before the game you wish to watch.

As long as he provides you with a working NBA league pass I do not see this as a valid scam, but seeing as there is no way to actually verify if he provides you with a working pass other than your own personal verification.. ???

He gave me a non working one, try the account I posted above. He is not replying now, and won't give me the money.

Got confirmation from both sides about the account sold. Its working. Rating removed.

Now, keep in mind that you are dealing with stolen and/or hijacked accounts here. You might want to reconsider this.

Ok just something for next time: before paying anyone escrow the money to make sure that what the guy is sending you is a legitimate item. I'm not too sure exactly how the NBA passes work because I am not that inclined to watch sports however whatever the item may be that you buy, you must escrow everything to ensure that you will still get the purchase in the end.

Also, while I'll never know the 100% truth I must give my best judgement, and it looks to me like the user Ninjahitoko didn't scam you but is rather an unfriendly guy who is selling these things and because he doesn't have the best attitude you perceived it as a scam.

If he offers no refunds, ask him once and when he says no just say ok. As long as he pointed it out there's no harm done. I understand you wanted the NBA pass today but sometimes things just don't work out - there will be delays everywhere. It would be the same thing if, say, I wanted to read a book with a bunch of friends and so I went onto Amazon and bought the book with "same-day delivery". If the book actually doesn't arrive on the same day it would be sad because I can't read it with my friends but Amazon's not scamming me; they simply have a delay. I would reschedule.

Why not collect the working pass that is rightfully yours (as you PAID) and reschedule with your friends. Again I am not too familiar with the whole "NBA pass" thing but I am assuming it must be something legitimate. Just for future reference: whenever you are still waiting for a purchase to arrive from a vendor never go crazy calling scam like you just did. Collect facts and be reasonable. Plus if he's selling something, he'll probably have other customers to help and will be busy.

Good luck.
