Title: OpenCL Not being recognised
Post by: guyag on November 14, 2012, 08:57:39 PM
Hardware: i5 3570k, AMD 6950

Software: guiminer, bitcoin, AMD APP SDK v2

My issue is that, when starting guiminer, it is stating that it can not find any OpenCL devices, despite me installing the AMD APP SDK. The software recommends installing the ATI Stream SDK, but this is now the AMD APP SDK (http://developer.amd.com/resources/archive/archived-tools/gpu-tools-archive/ati-stream-software-development-kit-sdk-v1-4-beta/). Do I need to restart to apply these changes? Or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

you should restart after installing drivers yes.

Figured as much, but not in particular favour of restarting this box. Thanks

I was able to resolve the problem by removing the AMD SDK and installing an old ATI one. I'll get you a download link for it when I can.
