I'm waiting the 5 days requested by the bank to transfer money on coinbase to do exchange.

If i had money now, i'll buy at once... i'm dying i think in monday price will go higher than 350€ again....

F***** bank! And them time to do silly operation!!!!

I know this sounds ironic but most likely you will thank the wait avoiding compulsive purchase.

Well said. People who do these compulsive buyings are most likely going to get burned, although the current price is quite interesting to buy Bitcoins at right now. If it goes down a bit more you will thank your bank ;)

Hi, this is NOT a compulsive buy. I did it to buy at 350€ if I could. So this down to 300€ is good time for me.

Hope i can say thanks to to bank.
I dont' hope can say f*** to bank.

Under 250 you are going to have a riot :-)

coinbase is fucking slow, are you using a standard wire transfer, because with sepa they should do it in one day

i wish for you to have a great luck and see bitcoin price go down to 250$ :P and then you need to go kiss your bank XD transfer money in coinbase is very slow i wish that they can do somethink about it but i think they will don't :/ anyway good luck man

Therefore you should use kraken. SEPA to kraken takes only 1 - 2 days.

Buying at 290 is a good deal, I think but it can go down to 250 too. So better buy 50% @ current rate and wait a little longer to invest the other 50%

I hate Coinbase. It costs a bomb to do wire withdrawals and the service is pretty much non existent. I use smaller exchanges where I can actually communicate with the owners and know the status of my transactions/issues within a short time. Coinbase is too big a fish to offer this sort of service. A shame.

Xapo may be better given its debit card, there's fees there though.

Be happy, this delay safed you quite some money 350 vs 300. Next week price will be 260 eur.

This is freaking amazing indeed. Today I read that Slovenia was the first European country that got a banking licence to convert bitcoins to Euros.

In the article they are explaining how swift system is so slow that it takes a bank transfer from Ljubljana (which is a capital of Slovenia) more time to arrive to Istanbul than to send a package from Ljubljana to Istanbul even though the money is being send 100% electronically. So let someone say another time that Bitcoin doesn't have a future!

So I know how you feel OP.

That is some dreaming you are doing there.. 260 will only probably happen in a flash crash, but I don't see it there for longer than a couple of hours anymore.

300 is the new 220 from now on, better get used to it.

I wish there was a thread somewhere that compared the time it takes exchanges to transfer coins to a persons account
That said I appreciate your gripe because I now know that it takes at least 5 days for coinbase, also in a similar boat with cavirtex in terms of processing times.
Slow...

F***** bank! And them time to do silly operation!!!!

I`m sorry for your inconvenience, but some people have to learn the hard way why bitcoin is superior to bank transfer.

Sometimes I`m getting angry when I have to wait 30 min for bitcoin transaction, silly me :D

Make higher fee. However i hope fee wil be < than actual 10cent€ per transaction.

How much is the fee on your bank transfer? Because in bitcoin it's:  0.03325 $ or 0.03092 €

My bank ask 0,5€ for to same bank transfer
while it ask 1€ for other bank transfer

Still cheper with bitcoin, but you are damn lucky, my fucking bank asks for 20-30€ fees for transfers.  >:(

Go bitcoin!

Yes inside the country its 3€ / transfer, I just checked it , for sums under 10,000€.

It's still high, and there are other comissions for different types of orders. So its too much fee!

Haha priceless! Let me try again! :) In this one article that I have read they are comparing swift bank transfers of today with sending a package. So you can receive a package faster between Berlin and Istanbul for example than sending money via international bank transfer(swift) between these same cities.

This comes to show how much money sending services and banks are actually slow, even though the money sending is done completely electronically, you are pretty much sending the numbers over the network.

Will I am waiting, the price is rising again... I'm gonna rape all bank employe...

share pics pls

In other news, I too get VERY frustrated by the delay of international bank transfers. On multiple occasions in the past I have used localbitcoins for the instant purchase even though their prices are ~5% worse than coinbase. On pretty much every occasion I would have saved money by just waiting.

Why can't coinbase get a UK bank account exactly? What's stopping them doing it?

You must thanks the bank. If it will be not the bank you will have not the possibility to send money to Coinbase, you will have not your credit/debit card to deposit money in some other place and then from there (if it will be possible) to send those in another place where you can buy bitcoin with the good price offered by Coinbase (if there exist this some other place). Maybe you need to thanks the bank even for another possible situation; if the price during these days goes down. The bank has given you more bitcoins with its late transfer of your money. So better to take the good side of this story. Make good even to you.

What must to do me which have no possibility to buy bitcoin at Coinbase (even I am an old customer of this wallet), because Coinbase don't offer such option in my country? I am obligated to buy bitcoin in other places which sell bitcoin more expensively. So I must buy the same amount of bitcoin with more money compared to you. Remain to send to hell Coinbase which don't offer its service in my country. But only if me were you. And to tell the right I am not.  ;)

I've not to thanks bank. Bank ruined my father, bank ruin us.
I've to say thanks to Satoshi and people like me that believe in the future of economy.
Bank do his business.

If the bank ruin you father and you all why then you continue to leave there your money? Hold those in your home or somewhere else. But not in the bank. At least this would me behavior is something with hurt me. Then I'm curious what has given to you Satoshi. I'm interested to know this. Because I hope that Satoshi will give something to me but in the future. For the moment Satoshi gave me only costs (buy of bitcoins).

Bitcoin prices haven't moved much over the last few days.

Some people says that waiting 10 minuts for bitcoin network confirmations is very slow, what they will say about waiting four days for a bank transfer? Thats 576 times x 10 minuts.

People don't have patience when they see an opportunity.

That's usually how it works, y'know.
But, it sometimes is a good thing when risk is involved. That amount of time can allow people to rationalize their decisions.

What do you do now that my prediction become true? The price of bitcoin today is lower than 5 days ago when you wanted your money from your bank immediately, having fear (or better being sure) that the price of bitcoin shall will be higher today? Will have the courage to thanks your bank for transfer your money within (after) 5 days in delay? If you consider yourself man you must to do this. And accept publicly that insulting the bank about something which is not known how it will be is a stupid thing. And don't tell me that you don't do this because the bank ruin your life and the life of your father. In this case. your bank helped you and you must be fair with it.  ;)

I don't like who defend a bank, a bank to his business and don't care about normal people.

No one ask to like me but to be fair. I don't defend the bank. I defend the right. The bank, in this last your case, bring you money and you must thank it. As for the care that the bank must have for you it is the same care that have for its customers every other business which act in its market to have the maximum of the profit possible. It is the law of being and doing business. Act in market to have profit. The same do even the bank. I am very satisfy with my bank. Give me to many possibilities, answer to any my need in very short time and make my life easier. So have no reasons to not like it. I am sure that even your bank do the same thing. But must be you to not be fair with it. Like you did 5 days ago with your main post of this thread.

That's the problem with Banks. Time. it happened once the same thing to me. When the money got to the exchange it was too late, I had missed a very good opportunity to buy very low... back then i would have bought at $168...

I just cant wait for the day where Bitcoin is globally accepted by everyone and I can forget about dealing with banks. I am so pissed off at banks too since I discovered Bitcoins. Everytime something happens I have to not only call but go there in person because they don't trust you and ask for IRL credentials.

Still waiting? This wait rivals the length of time it's taking Coinut signature campaigners to get paid!

What a great a case study of one of the easiest benefits of transactions with bitcoin.

You would dishonor Satoshi and your father, if you stopped commenting on this thread. You hate the banks and now you have a opportunity to show how bad they are, and then you give up when you are slightly offended by what someone commented on your thread?

This could turn into a practical example of how much better Bitcoin can be, compared to banks. It would even be better, if you could provide some proof. < Just blur out the sensitive information >  ::)

You are luck in this occasion that our bank holds you transfer for 5 days. The price is still lower than $350, let alone 350 Euros. You may buy now lower than $330.
The speed of bank transfer is pathetic. Banks charge a lot of fees, but transfer your money slowly. They do not care about customers.

I don't know which is your bank, and what kind of payment system is used by your bank, but for me five days is madness. Transfers from my bank to Coinbase goes about 24h (very rarely 48h)

Better think to change your bank ;)

Transfering complete. Good price again, but if I had buy at 300$ was better. However, buy at 330$ is still good.

Well, that's good that you didn't lose on it. $330 is still good price. Do you know on which side was the problem? Bank or Coinbase?

So finally you were able to make your buy. And $330 is still a good price to get some coins.
In 1 or 2 years it might 3 to 5-fold more and then you will look back and think how lucky you are.
