What's the best Bitcoin film?

I'm looking for documentaries but any film is good to be aware of.

There is only one that I know: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin

When there is only 1 be the best is easy, but still a good movie that is worth to see

There is also another documentary:

Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It.

I think there is also another one that talks about bitcoin but it is actualy about the Deep web and Ross Ulbricht, I can't remember the name!

The journalist was a bitch in my opinion. But she had her points.

Bitcoin : End of money as we know it , the documentary have a lot of awards already so I recommend watching it .

I think Hollywood movie "Dope" Has done some great media for Bitcoin (someone may not agree cause it is related to black market, but in my opinion this movie is done more than documentaries and have reached wider audience than youtube for sure).

that is very interesting. i saw dope and it is quite a funny movie. glad that it accepts btc. i wonder if they would show the sales by btc and the usual methods. even if btc sale is 5% of the total, i am quite happy to see some hope of btc progress.

I don't really know any full films about Bitcoin. But I do know of a couple short movies/films that are pretty good. Personally, I really like "Finding Satoshi Nakamoto". It is extremely humorous and informative.

I would just look all of them.

Rise and Rise of bitcoin , because it starts from back in 2008 and shows a first hand experience. Also amazing watch. Check out silkroad related movies and docs too. They are pretty good too.

You try see Rise and Rise of Bitcoin that is best documentary movie to know well about Bitcoin But this movie you could not find in youtube In some websites this movie is payable to watch or download. so aware of that too.

There is a movie called "Dope" that was out recently and Bitcoin plays a decent role in it.

I recommend this one for all those who dont know about where the FIAT money come from, is simply awesome.

Bitcoin: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin
This one was the first one that i saw, is pretty cool because the video is from the point of view of an early adopter ( mostly ) and describe very good how was going on with bitcoin at the beginning.


I can't decide what is better, but i can suggest to all of you to saw both of them ;)

Think I might give both of these a watch at some point, I have heard of The Rise and Rise before but just have not had the time to sit down and watch it.

Andreas Antonopoulos presenting in front of the Canadian Senate. A must see! It's not a film but it lasts 2 hours and it's full of valuable information for everyday people. One day this will be considered a Bitcoin classic!

Films about bitcoin have to be released within the last 5-6 months to stay relevant because it changes so frequently that the facts would need to be up to date.
The Phenomenon film is more like a 30 minute long interview not really a movie as we would expect it to be. In regards to length and footage that documentaries usually have within a 1.5-2 hour feature film.

after seeing so many replys and most of the replys relate to two movie which is fully about bitcoin, i think today i am going to watch this movies and come back with feed back. thanks for the info on movies and tys for creating this thread.

not so well known, this is actually a very good promotion
especially when entry in box office

I think you should watch The Rise and Rise of Bitcoins on youtube as it will give the clear picture of what bitcoins is all about and it would  be the best documentary for a newbie who wants to learn about the bitcoins and wants to get into bitcoins and I assure that documentary would be a learning experience for you as it also focuses on technical aspects of bitcoins.

We need films mainly about bitcoins. But we also need many films to show that the characters in the film mention about bitcoins or they can use bitcoin to purchase a cup of coffee in a local shop or do on line shopping with bitcoin. These kind of scenes can be shown in many films. So the advertisement can reach more people.

I recently watched "Dope" - It's not a documentary , but a drug dealing related movie. The main star in a movie uses bitcoin to charge people for drugs.
They kind of used the silk road as inspiration a bit. The movie doesn't mention bitcoin too many times, but since it's a good and watched movie- i guess it brought us some new supporters.
I would definitely recommend you to watch it.

Good movie worth a watch.  The movie mentions bitcoin in the first line of the movie!  And then it goes over some additional references later on.

Mostly silk road references and not many details on exchanges as would be expected for a block buster.

I've only watched three bitcoin films to date, and I think each one of them is a must-watch for any bitcoin fanatic. Here is the ranking I'd give to the three (from best to good):

The first movie documentaries iv'e  seen about bitcoin,the tittle is how to banking a bitcoin,this is the movie that open up my mind about crypto currency,this is the time that im curious of what is bitcoin and how its works like a stock  in market.

Can you please share the links to such pieces so people can have a good watch to these clips. I have seen the rise and rise of bitcoin quite a few times. It really gives you some vivid dreams to become rich with bitcoins.

Finally they mentioned crypto currencies in Arrow, I'm something else, I'm the green arrow, lol they even talked about how difficult it is to trace crypto currencies transactions, but they were the best hackers in the world and they managed to find a Russian mob. season 6, episode 2.
Is there any porn about Bitcoin? if there is no porn then I might make one. no lol.

I suppose there are some good reasons to revive old threads, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Life on Bitcoin". We've got all the documentaries, we've even got a pop culture film (Dope), but what about actual people documenting their decision to live on Bitcoin?

About a couple who started a Kickstarter campaign four years ago, shortly after getting married, to film a full-length feature film on ... their life on Bitcoin. Have fun, it's pretty cringeworthy!
