Last week it touches 502$ in Bitstamp. Was it the highest price in 2015 or will we see higher than that price until the new year?

I think that was the highest price we'll see in 2015, there's only about 6 weeks left in 2015.

this may be true but more like 400 will be highest by end of year
my personal opinion is that this is hard to break but if so price may go up to more then 500

I dont think it will break the 500 again this year... but next year after the halving, I think we will reach a good high...

Or before the halving even. You would have to think that miners will withold from dumping in the run up to the halving, and may even conspire to ramp the market up, and then dump after the halving.

i personally think we have seen the highest price this year already. that's why i vote for $502. as long as we stay above the $300 price level, it makes me happy.

I think 502 at best, the last increase that happened last week will be the end of the huge jumps methinks for 2015.  2016 will be there year of the BTC

It will either break $500 this week or next week OR it won't break it for months, if ever.

I think we will see more high price than $502 before end of this year because there are some bullish signs still exist so it has great chance for next up wave from Pre Christmas period.

As i think it will stay under $502 so it was the highest price of the year but i am hopeful about to get stable price above $350 before end of this year.

I think it will not go higher than in past bull run, so most possibly we saw its peak allready for this year. It is only my opinion but we could have sub 300$ around new year (it would be great to accumulate few more coins at that price hehe)

i'm going to join the 502 party, because being the lowest value, it has the most probability in comparison with higher value

i'm not sure there is enough time to maintain it as a stable price before end of 2015...

I personally think 502$ was the top for this year... I hope we'll get around $600-$700 after the halving next year... But that's only guessing  ;D

I see too much negativity, people don't think we can pass 500$ again this year. That make me think that we would see another unexpected move before Christmas. :)

It would be amazing if we would cross again $500 mark. So I am going for this $500. All of the other option are too high in my opinion.

Then again now when I have said this, we will probably shoot all the way to $700 before the end of the year! :D

i think $502 is the best or the highest price BTC in 2015 and probably we wouldn't see the price above that until 2016 early

$500 was the high. I think we will see the price stay in the $300 to $400 price range this whole year. It's more than a decent price if you consider how long we have seen $220 to $240 ;)

500$ mark is the highest this year as of now but we have more weeks left before saying that. Hold on folks. One of the optimistic people is here. Mark my work. The highest amount this year is 600$. Christmas in not all about spending money. Look many will buy before Christmas then will dump during that day.

Anything is possible when it comes to BTC,it is possible to see the price of 500$ again, and it is possible to fall below 300$.But I disagree that many buy after all this happened, too much change in prices in a very short period result that many people lost a lot of money.I also vote for 300-400$ price range to the end of this year.

range is now 320-340 with is good 100$ increase and staying stable is good
let just hope to maintain like that maybe some jump little comes next month for Christmas shopping and that is all

I think we will see another run that will bring us close to the 700 range. But first we will staballize here for a week or two.

All I can see is people believing that $502 was already the highest price they can see this 2015 but I strongly believe bitcoin price will go higher than that before the year ends. I voted the max I can see, which is $1000 :D

502$ was the highest in Bitstamp. I'm sure we can't see over 500$ again this year but there's a strong possibility that we can see over 500$, even over 1000$ next year.

A few more weeks before the year ends, I think we'll touch $500 before we change our calendars. Feb - Halving I anticipate much larger price movements.  8)

for me giving away 1 btc is too much. but it is definitely a good idea to give a paper wallet with for example 0.05btc as gift. it's different and will make people aware of bitcoin and also allows them to explore what they can do with it.

And price will not go above 500 probably, I'm reading news and i didn't see any big reasons for 200 $ rise. But maybe we will see some surprises, we never know.

$550. There are some bitcoin adoption news about the issue of bitcoin credit card by Coinbase. Although there are some bitcoin card previously, Coinbase is one of the largest bitcoin exchanges. It is more established. So it will help the bitcoin adoption to the general public.

I think that that spike will be the biggest price in 2015. It will probably not raise so high anymore, this year.

It depends on if there will be a pump or not. If there is no pump, $502 is the highest price. If there is a pump after agreement of blockchain size, then we will see a much higher price.

I guess that's already the highest we can see this 2015. This coming december some people will sell their coins (including me and some of my friends) and I think that won't help bitcoin price to go up. We should be contented with the bitcoin price right now :D

There are more buyers in China waiting for buying on the event of Christmas and new year celebrations at any available prices. I believe prices may test $600 levels by end of December, so that it would be a great celebration time for many people.

yes 600$ seems possible, we can get this 600$ price on xmas as a gift from santa

We might have already reached the highest price of $502. There is no news or adoption to drive the price beyond.

We've already seen the high for 2015, back during the peak of the spike.

 Downhill rest of the year and first part of next year, unless some MAJOR positive news event happens.

you can dream about it nothing big will happen this year maybe some small spike for xmas but that will be it perhaps in January may to expect some bigger price change and that is all until halving unless something big come out like mayor political or economical issue around the world that will influence on current market yet this can happen even in this year

If the block chain size to be increased in January 2016, the price could shoot up to $800. Otherwise $400 is the highest for December.

My vote is for 600 $ as highest price of Bitcoin what can be seen by the end of 2015.In last speculation we saw price was slightly over 500$ on some exchanges and all was in few days happened.We still have almost one month and any time can see one more rise in price.

502 USD is the highest price what was already seen in last weeks.I don't think we will see some that huge rise in remaining days of this year which is take it more higher than this price.Overall price will be in 315-340 $ range.

What I see price of Bitcoin is stable on over 300 $ and in a week or two there will be seen again some upward movement and at Xmas price will be up till 800 $ in next pump.That will be highest price for the year 2015 and then again will drops and make new floor for some period.

But may be can see another wave of bitcoin price appreciations before Christmas. I believe we may end this year with bitcoin price around $600. Price appreciations will continue till halving in june 2016. After that, halving will trigger some another waves of value appreciations

$502. getting higher than that before the end of the year would be a miracle considering that the price always seem to drop mid december.

Now it might look like a miracle for the price to reach $500 again. But if we see a bull run like early November, then it's definitely possible. Realistically thinking, the price will stay at current price levels.

After 2015, being 2016 very soon the price will prob be the same still.

But i do consider price increases if there is events that can change peoples mind to buy more though, then I`d probably agree with the $500 mark.

It's hard to predict as everything can be changed within a week or two, but expect that the bitcoin price will be somewhere $350 at the end of the year and maybe max of $400.

things can change within a day when it comes to bitcoin. i also think the chances are high that we will stay between $350-$400 this year. maybe that we will shortly go over $400, but i think it won't hold.

We might see the bitcoin price rising to $400 on December but I think that might be the highest price for this year.

I think the high for 2015 is already in. I don't see the price rising on no news beyond what we already made. There is simply not much time remaining and as there are no positive developments recently and we are still relatively far away from halving I believe we will simply stay where we are now. That is about $350, plus minus $50 in each direction for a short-term moves.

It could happen, large movements Bitcoin is not easily predictable ways, be it up or down. As in late 2013 to early 2014, Bitcoin up and down significantly

Same feeling here. I believe we already did a great job in 2015, reversing the down trend that started at the end of 2013. That is already a feat and I am perfectly happy with that. the recent mini-rally to $502 was only a cherry on the cake, but that should not distort the general picture. I expect 2016 to be much more positive for Bitcoin, though.

I'd too vote for the $502 earlier this month, though it seems a gradual uptrend has indeed started. Seems like we've now established a 'bottom' at around $300 and that's definately/definality an improvement considering the median price throughout the majority of 2015. Doesn't rule out prices beneath that $300 ofc.

I hope the highest until theend of the year will be 500 dollar.

But I am fine with 400 or 450 dollar. But the highest of this year seen my self was 400 dollar.

Don't worry you will get $500 per coin again in 2016. Maybe around April or may. LOL Not really sure about that.

I also think we will get to $500 in the spring time. Halving will be then close enough to bring some more buying pressure. Waiting is the most difficult skill in trading!

Next year will be packed with the events that are fundamental for Bitcoin development and thus carry a lot of potential of influencing (positively) Bitcoin price.
Therefore it is not that important where we start the new year, unless of course, we crash below $200 which is very unlikely now.
I think we will keep floating around $350 as the most probable scenario with some ups and downs not exceeding $50.

I have been telling the same thing in the last few weeks but there are still some people that expect the impossible.

I don't disagree with that prediction. I think it is quite reasonable to expect some rise due to the halving. How much that will be and whether this event will be played by the speculators to create the next bubble that is an open question. Based on cycle analysis presented in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1256918.0, one may expect peak value of the next bubble somewhere at $2-3k. Whether it will happen after or before halving is also open question, but I would tend to choose the latter option.

I think the highest price will be around $500. That is a big rise from the current $350 level. I am happy with $500 by the end of the year.

I hope to reach 400 dollar at the end of the year. That should be great.

if this continue like for the weekend we can expect over 400 in day or two (on some exchanges there was 400$ but if we calculate middle its still 5-10$ short)

Some traders clearly don't like $400 as they are dumping the price down again as soon as it touches $400 on Bitfinex. I do however think that we'll see the prices on various exchanges go over $400 and stay there for a while this month.

Even if the price reaches $400 in 2015, it is great. The next year's price will rise from $400, and it  might reach $1200 by the end of 2016.

Yes there are lot of chances for testing $450 levels this week itself as last week completely bull markets dominated in bitcoin trading. But $400 acted as a very good resistances, in bitstamp prices found too difficulty to cross $400 levels. If it breaks then we can easily see $450 levels.

Christmas and New Years are coming! Some ppl may dump their Bitcoin holding to cash out profits and spending! I think it may drop a little before Christmas!! I guess it will reach at the level of $350

You may be right. People may cash out by selling some of their long holding bitcoins. But many people last year bought some new bitcoins and sent bitcoin gifts. At the same time it was very hard time for bitcoin ecosystem last year around January 2nd week, at that time only bitcoin hit year's low.

By seeing today's sustaining range above $390 levels, it may lead to big pumps. So, $450 is within reachable before this week end along with pivot point analysis. Who knows, even $500 levels also may be tested with this pace. Let's wait for $400 gets broken.

For now the highest price was 502 and I think this december well be just arond 450 - 500 dollars.
So yeah 2015 was a oke year that reach 500 dollars lets see what well happen in 2016.

I dont think it will cross the current borders by this year ,so chinese bump would be the highest i my opinion.

Yes prices are more stable and sustaining around $390 levels but failing to break $400 level again today in bitstamp exchange.
I too believe once this $400 is broken we can see the testing of new heights above $500 levels within this December month.

I am not as much interested in the years high, but more if we can end the year with a price highter then 450. It would mean we are had a very very great year.
Even better we start the new year with momentum.

2015 has passed. So we can confirm the highest price in 2015 is $502 in Bitstamp. The 2016 price will be much higher.

In my opinion the price will go to a high amount this year for sure, but it need some time to climb to it.
The price will be at a range of 800 dollar at the end of 2016 this also because the halving has been done.

I think the price will be stable around $800 after the block size increase. The price will double after halving again.
