Do we still trust banks to be trustless entities?

We have to move away from a centralized private ledger system, and invest in a huge decentralized network, and this is what Bitcoin is offering. The banks just ignore that and

push some sugar coated private ledger onto people, re-branded as a Blockchain based alternative.  ::)

It's not just banks ignoring that.Also the VCs seem to pump more and more of their capital in private blockchain and permissioned ledgers solutions.I don't know what to think about that.There might be some good use cases and advantages for that, however in terms of finance and banking only transparancy, permissionless acces and decentralization will bring us, the user, independence and freedom from those thieves and warmongers.
