Title: EVGA Supernova 1000W G2 Gold 80 Post by: jdacal on November 15, 2015, 06:12:02 PM I have two brand new units of this power supply. I'm using one on an AntMiner S5. I've read that voltage should never read below 12 volts for the AntMiner. If I run it at default 350 Freq I am reading 11.97 volts at the DC connectors with the AntMiner running. Is this close enough? The reason I ask is that I tried the other new power supply on it and it has the exact same reading 11.97 volts. If I drop the frequency to 300 both power supplies read 12.01 volts with the AntMiner running.
Here's the readings I'm getting: AC input to power supply (with the Antminer running as the load) 119.6 volts - Kill-A-Watt meter shows about 5amps AC being drawn and I believe about 600W. DC Output at 350 Freq: 11.97v DC Output at 300 Freq: 12.1v So would the 11.97v be acceptable since both supplies give the same reading? Or should I be looking for another PSU? Thanks! Thanks! you are close enough. what it means is freq 350 is a little too much but not enough to really fuck your numbers up. -5% or 11.7 is too low. there is a really good support thread wait for link. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1151460.0 this has lots of info on voltages for an s-5 Title: Re: EVGA Supernova 1000W G2 Gold 80 Post by: jdacal on November 15, 2015, 07:37:35 PM Great link!
