Title: have had 2 people try to scam me. Now im stuck with an amazon gift card. Help!
Post by: hitalick on November 17, 2015, 10:24:09 PM
I purchased an amazon gift card after talking with a guy on local bitcoins. After I purchased the card from a store he refused to escrow the transaction and only asked for the claim code which i thought was fishy. I was dealing with another member on here who offered to buy the card using the escrow service btcrow.com but the email I recieved in regards to the transaction had no Transaction ID # inside of it so I assume it was a spoof email. I have 350 dollars on this gift card and would hate to have to sell it for such a small amount of coin on local btc. Can any senior members on here offer me any advice? or maybe get me out of my bitcoin woes and give me a better amount of btc for the card? any help is appreciated I wish i had found these forums sooner

If you have info on these people and they are on this forum, go to the scam accusations thread and create a scam accusation!

When I think about it, you will be better off with moving this thread completely to the scam accusations thread. It will be more visible there and some more experienced users that have already dealt with Amazon gift cards will be able to help you. I have no experience whatsoever with these cards.

Here is the thread and good luck with sorting this out!

Sorry bud but only a couple people would agree to a 'true' exchange rate if you have something pre-loaded like that. Id suggest that you have it auctioned here and escrowed by a trusted member. That is if you don't get someone to sell it to.

You will be out of luck. You are a newbie and want to sell an amazon gift code. It might very well be the case that you bought that gift card with carding.

You can try to convert the giftcode to bitcoin by checking out purse.io.
