Title: $25 Starbucks Cards for $20 worth of Bitcoin
Post by: morantis on November 17, 2015, 11:24:11 PM
We purchased 15 too many gifts for the office and we are dropping the extras here.  There are only 15, so when you pay for one, post it here so that everyone can keep track.  I will update the posting, but I cannot be here 24 hours a day, so make sure you read and see how many are gone.  They are $25 cards, so if you want one send $20 in BTC to 159pgJ39N2hvnE9KtGAASCaNjB5Snxxzhh than post here and PM me your address.  USA people only, this cards may be worthless anywhere else.

Down to 10 cards now, I believe.  Got a message that someone may buy 5, may not, will update soon.

Good luck. I tried selling one $15 for $10 worth of Bitcoin and eventually gave up.

yeah, the problem is Starbucks cards are sold for very cheap price in market...so no one will be bothered to buy one at 80% price...

The reason i say this is because one guy was trying to sell the Starbucks card here, but no one is interested in that...

If you see the price of current Starbucks cards in market, you will be shocked..Good luck with it, but try to give it to your friends who go to Starbucks regularly and try to collect your cash, here its not gonna work...:( :(

I might be a bit interested.  It's nice to see cards that aren't stolen being sold on the forum for a change.  ;)

I do have a couple questions, though.  Are you offering to mail the physical card to the buyer, or would you be willing to just send the card's info (card number, pin) in a PM so that the buyer can add it to their account electronically?  I'm particularly interested in the latter.

Also, are you willing to use escrow for the cards?

Thanks!

We would be mailing them out.  I see no reason for escrow over such a small thing.  I do suppose that if you wanted the card info as opposed to the actual card, we could do that.

It's good to know we can tell they aren't stolen simply by looking at the price. So now we can expect to see secondary market develop where the 50% cards will be resold at 80% to make them look more legit.

I suppose I should have said "It would be nice to see cards on the forum that aren't stolen."  I was giving the OP the benefit of the doubt from what his/her post said.

That all being said, I typically would recommend the seller offer to use escrow for the cards.  The asking amount seems justifiable for it to me.  A list of reputable escrow services can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0

Trade safely!  ;)

The cards sold at a very cheap rate (20-30% of the face value) are cards bought via stolen/fraudulent credit cards. There should be some difference between legal and illegal good rates right?

OP, you need to offer an escrow as you are new and there are escrows who could work for free :)

I think you guys are giving this too much thought, lol.  They are just extra cards we purchased.  The expense was figured in a long time back and they were never intended to be sold. I see no need for escrow.  If they sell, great, if not, that is fine too.  And, yes, they are legal, outright purchased cards.
