Depends on many factors...
The accounts my alt has sold recently were in these priceranges:

Senior member: about 0.14
Full member: about 0.05
member: about 0.01

But like i said: it depends on so many factors... The buyer, the seller, the time, the day, the amount of posts, the activity, date registered, feedback, signed message,...

If it has good trust rating, if it's a really old account, for sure. Depends what was the account used for.
Most of scammers would pay that amount of price if they wanted to run a long term con.

Account price will depends on the accounts post quality also.

If my estimation is correct you could get them like this

Member: 0.005 - 0.01 btc
Full Member - 0.03 - 0.08 btc
Sr. Member - 0.1 - 0.15 btc

still, the price will depends on the post quality and also if a signed message is available, it can also affect the price.

Forum accounts shouldn't be overpriced now because of the fluctuating price of btc that we are experiencing now.

honestly i dont know is selling them but this is not good someone is buying but some are living from it they use several account then make them member or full and then sell them

I think, it's depends on the quality of each account.
Whether the account ever get banned, spam post, etc.

Buying and selling of accounts is not prohibited but still not encouraged as a lot of people use accounts in several spamming and scam attempts. Although, people are still allowed to do such thing because we are all free of doing anything that is not against the rule of the forum in here. If there will be a rule implemented againsts buying and selling of accounts, then that is the only way for this to stop.

People will continue to sell account whether it is frowned upon or not, it would be good however to have some central place which would determine the value of an account and become the standard go to place when account are being sold, this will avoid unreasonable expectations and provide a decent benchmark.

The selling price could also depend on post quality that the previous owner has build up

It depends from the quality of posts / activities / positive trust... But here is my estimation

-Jr member ~0.005 BTC

-Member 60-84 activities: 0.01
-Member 98-112: 0.02-0.03

-Full Member 126-182: 0.06-0.08
-Full Member 196-238: 0.09-0.12

-Sr Member from 0.15 to 0.25

-Hero Member 0.3-0.5

-Legendary >>0.5

I'm wonder if newbie had a green trust, it will cost as same as hero or newbie that getting into DT it will worth more than BTC 0.5 I think

Don't think this information is available. You have to trust the seller (or ask an admin/mod :P, you will never get an answer tho)

Just check up the lending section here in the forum. There you can find some real prices for full, senior, hero and legendary member accounts, which are quite low. But in any case hero and legendary member accounts can have stable market value here in the forum.  ;)

Heroes and Legendaries will become ever more diluted. Lots of accounts registered during the surge of 2013 are heroes now and might be legendary relatively soon. They won't be all that rare soon.

Its what they are willing to buy for, knowing very well that accounts sell for more. You know, buy low, sell at marketprice.

Buying low and selling high is the only way to profit from bitcointalk accounts after the closure of many high paying signature campaigns.

Do you think selling account in bitcointalk can go on like accounts will always be valuable in the coming years?
Because if so, whats stoping people from creating multiple accounts and sell them later.
And it will be more valuable if someday bitcointalk will only allow registration via invites.

This will not stop selling accounts and many users will start selling their invites but I agree that will make things more valuable. (personally don't support this idea)

Forget to mention that the cost of negative trust accounts under hero shouldn't be more than 0.01 / hero+legendary 0.015?  (dunno what's the point of buying it anyway)

Of course prices may vary depending on activity, post quality, and number of potential activity. That's how I price bitcointalk accounts :D

I think I would pay about 1 or 2 months of highest earning signature campaign would be a good price for the accounts. Maybe 3 - 4 months of any active open signature campaigns. 3 - 4 month payback on anything would be a good price to me  :P.

0.3 for legendary is too low, I would pay .5

I`m not rich, but this prices seems very low. Maybe cause of that there is to much manipulations with accounts, and scammers... Someone will easliy buy account for some low price and continue to scam people here. Its a gamble when u buy account, from my point of view and I will never do something like that. Maybe its not good for forum also, it will be flooded with people who make multiple accounts and sell it for chip price cause there will be many similar ones.

It's not about the account, but what you sell.

If a scammer sells a product as hero, while the product is bogus, you deserve to be scammed.

I think it is normal that you read the lines and bylines before you invest in... anything, not just crypto.

So if a Hero member launches a new altcoin and provices no background information on him/herself..it's easy, I would not give a dime..

If you check closely at the auction i have seen that legendary accounts start of being sold at 0.75BTC so it is not a surprise.

forum accounts depends on various stats of the account such as quality of post, signed message, trust feedback, date registered (coz some are more valuable specially if create wayback 2011-2012)

yeah it has separate price value for each and every bitcointalk accounts. Its depends upon the member's position, post's quality, number of posts and trusts and there is some pricing website in online just use it check your value bro. that would helpful for you

Personally, IF I'm going to buy that account, I'll buy it for something like 0.12-0.13 BTC. So for me your account is worth something like that. I'm not interested to buy your account though :D

-Legendary   (this is where things get complicated prices for legendary account accounts are all over the place but i would have to say atleast 1+ btc.

I see your account is newly turn senior member and have multiple untrusted negative feedback(although they are from scammers) so you may face problem selling your account.

I say signed message available, so that means the estimated value goes up, because it is a factor to estimate the price of the account.

what would determine the worth of the account ... are these rates based on the signature campaigns that people offer .. higher the member more amount ? or somthing else all together ?

It has been posted many times that bitcointalk accounts were worth something cuz of the signature campaigns. That's the only reason I know why accounts were being sold , solely to participate in a campaign to get higher payment rates with higher ranks. :D

Well to be honest I see them selling them all over the forum, but the digital goods section has the most accounts for sale.

I am not planning to buy any account but i could say that it worth 0.15 BTC also the fact that an account is enrolled in a signature compaign make it more valuable  ;)

Well if you are lucky you can get less than <0.2BTC a hero member.
This happened today in Auction board, but these cases are very rare.
Also legendary members i think that cost less than <1BTC

A Legendary could be sold for 1-1.5 BTC,
A Hero could be sold for 0.4-0.5 BTC
A Senior Member could be sold for 0.1-0.2 BTC
A Full Member could be sold for 0.05 BTC
A Member could be sold for 0.02 BTC

Dont. Just don't try to sell anything below that.

And even outside the forum, bitcointalk account sales can be seen. I once saw someone selling such accounts on a local Facebook group where I'm a member in.

@electronicash Auctions section will be a better place to buy accounts cuz you can get accounts there much cheaper :D

Nope. Bots like that were most likely inaccurate (though some users still base there when they have no idea what the price is). Its still unreliable to use estimated prices by bots as standard price. Anyways no one will buy a jr member for 0.03 btc, that amount was already a price for a member or a potential full member.
