Well, sort of.

On tradingview.com, I just noticed
the Bitcoin chat has 4.1 million messages,
double the amount the forex chat has,
and about double the average daily
messages.

Maybe it means nothing more than
bitcoin people are chatting more
and forex traders aren't as chatty,
but its still nice to see.

Not sure what this post is supposed to be getting at - what is it that you think is comparable between forex and Bitcoin? They're pretty different things tbh.

they are both tradable instruments.  But one is being discussed twice as much.

My guess would be that there is more to talk about, since the community is so young and still developing. Forex is quite saturated on that part.

Agreed, there are pretty much more room for changes and developments that's why there are a lot of messages including bitcoin. Still a nice thing to notice too, given that forex is a large part of the industry and it is expected to be talked more often.

is this only recently or it was always like that? because, maybe it due to the the recent pump and nothing else

Are both forex and bitcoin discussions there from same time period; i mean did they open the same time, and is the activity in bitcoin only recently higher ?
If they are of the same timeframe; i would only guess one thing - that bitcoin is getting more discussion because it's much newer and there are many opened questions regarding it,
where as forex is being traded for much longer, and thus, much less interesting and with less reason to debate.

There are still lot of things to be tackled in forex just so you know, like different strategies as to how to trade and whatnot. In bitcoin, you're right that it is fairly new and there are plenty of things to be talked upon.

I am not so convinced about it, because I have been a forex trader for almost four years and I know hundreds of sites and forums related to forex trading; in addition, we should not put aside that forex trading has been a reliable financial investment for long years, but bitcoin is actually a novelty in financial matters.

Bitcoin is where the music is.

I find it interesting. At the very least it reveals a possible higher interest for Bitcoin in a site that is not only about Bitcoin, and that seems like good news. It might attract people from other chats just to have a look.  ::)

you should say: BTC is more popular among trolls than Forex

Maybe because bitcoin market never closes, its global, easier to manipulate, easier to earn than forex etc. many many reasons

forex is huge, way bigger than btc. im sure it is simply that there is more chat around btc, especially since btc can conceivably be manipulated if you get enough people behind it (MMM anyone?) and forex is way too huge to be manipulated. at least the actual market.

people who know forex dont chat much, they watch indicators and news and are too busy doing trades. they know if you listen trolls will kill you. btc people should pay attention to that.

What can you do in forex trading? Indeed, trade some currencies around.

Bitcoin and the blockchain has so much more potential, that there is also a lot more to discuss. Not really surprising imho.

I think the price fluctuation of bitcoin is the main reason why traders are more interested in bitcoin. As some the well known forex trading platform have also started to support bitcoin trading regular forex trader have also been sifted to bitcoin.

This is just one platform and I doubt whether it can be used to make such a general assumption. Forex is by far more established and as such have many more 'outlets' like forums and the like where its being discussed daily. I'm sure that if you combine all those 'outlets' that you will find a totally different picture. The forex markets are by far the largest market and the volumes being done on btc at the moment is not even a drop in the ocean compared to the forex market volumes.

in real life if i ask to my friend about bitcoin he does not know anything about bitcoin
but...
if i ask about forex he know a litle what is forex...

That is very true. Bitcoin is a more widespread topic whereas there is practically nothing you can talk about in forex. Also, Bitcoin is a more interesting topic and I am not surprised that more people are talking about it compared to Forex.

Bitcoin is of course more of a conversation piece then any fiat would be. It is in the news and it is ever evolving. Forex is pretty static and thus boring. We need more movement bitcoin! Keep the music going.

Just admit it, we are the hot topic at the moment. This is a relative new technology and not being fully regulated everywhere, people would have a lot of questions and concerns.

My problem comes in with the people giving the answers to these questions... Do they get legit answers or are the shills operating there too? Spreading their filth and

mis-information.  ??? If it is anything like Reddit, we are doomed on that platform.  >:(

its make sense,lets compare between bitcoin and forex,and from that we can know why bitcoin more popular than forex.
- alternate payment,but forex is not.
- simple used,and free,but forex is not.
- uncontrolled,but forex have broker.
- able to getting freely,but forex need funds.
- forex has no logo and bitcoin have.
its what i think abut bitcoin and forex,and some reason why bitcoin more popular than forex.

Not only at the moment, bitcoin have been a hot topic in the last years ( well ofc much more on the last one ), so is time to "change" it, i mean that the next 3-5 years are crucial, we will see how the popularity grow up much more that we are seeing in last years.

Yeah, bitcoins is the future guys, it has already started  to crash forex trading, as people are much more interested in trading with bitcoins as compared to that of forex, People would love to invest their money in bitcoins trading rather then forex trading and I believe there is much more profits in bitcoin trading.

Bitcoin and Forex are not not exactly the closest things you can compare with each other. But bitcoin can we used in speculative way to trade and in it is still the most popular way why bitcoin is purchased.

I guess bitcoin is so popular over the internet because it is digital currency with its root in online community. And FOREX is more like a old fashion way of trading.

Bitcoin daily trading volume is peon compared to forex still.   A few million dollars, vs forex's trillions, but  Just a nice sign though that's its being talked about.

I agree; although bitcoin can be a hot topic, it does not mean that actually BTC is more important in real terms than the enormous forex market. Even in the FX market bitcoin is nothing but a simple currency among hundreds of options to trade.

Well I think that many people are asking about how to earn bitcoins their are mostly many newbies in bitcoin than in forex trading, well you are just asking about the number of chats for bitcoin well I think that bitcoin has many discussion about or topic that newbies need to learn that is why chat are 24/7 with bitcoin!

Where you get this data?is that mean 4 milion people talk about bitcoin?i think bitcoin have more user than it..maybe 10 milion?
