I see lots of threads asking about it so thought I would share the love... Took 24 hrs to come up though.. I don't personally suggest doing it after a loss, but I personally martingale after a win. Only martingale twice and then stop :P

That's where proper bankroll management comes in. Unfortunately, many players only learn this the hard way.

After you gamble a couple of time in demo mode, you somehow get rid of that terrible itch to roll the dice. This might be helpful for the really gambling addicts around here.

Agreed, sooner or later you will only end up losing big or get addicted. A lot of people try it and lose eventually. I've seen people hit a 20+ roll losing streak Title: Re: 20 BTC loss image in dice game (17 losses in a row at 50/50, 100% raise) Post by: Quickseller on December 06, 2015, 01:16:48 AM First of all, the bet that you describe is not a 50/50 bet, the win chance is only 49.5% in order to account for the 1% house edge.
Secondly, with martingale, there is a chance that you will sustain sufficient number of loosing consecutive bets so that you will bust every bet that you make. With every additional bet that you make, the chance increases that any set of previous bets that you have made will be sufficient to make you bust. So the chances of you busting after 200 bets is roughly double the chances of you busting after 100 bets. The fact that the ghost roller is so fast, the chances of quickly busting is high because you are making so many bets. Also on most sites, when the autoroller is going, you will be able to see each bet, so if you have a large loosing streak, and are still up overall, you can make the decision to stop the autoroller and simply take your win as is (or to cut your losses if you are down at that point), however with the autoroller on your site that is really not possible because the bets are too fast to see such a loosing streak before it is too late. People choose their own bet speeds, though. You can make it do 1/s. That's more than slow enough to follow along. If someone wants to speed it up, that's their own decision and is not the site's fault, :). His base bet was 10 000 sat. what is too much in my opinion. People had much more lose streaks then 17. This automatic betting is crazy, I didnt notice on photo how much is limit of his throws and after how much throws this thing happened. I`m askin people around how many time can u lose? 17? 40? 120? Who can tell the right number, when we all know every throw is a new throw independet from last ones... Its just crazy when i try to calculate it in my head. I did a random test locally the other day and with 100 million rolls, had hit a 49 losing streak twice, and a 50/51 losing streak each once. The 27 was like 20-30x per run. The question is how many rolls you're doing and if you're on the good luck side or the bad luck one, :). With 1 billion rolls I hit a streak of like 85 losses in a row. Title: Re: 20 BTC loss image in dice game (17 losses in a row at 50/50, 100% raise) Post by: Rubberduckie on December 06, 2015, 12:58:38 PM The gambler's fallacy, also known as the Monte Carlo fallacy or the
fallacy of the maturity of chances. Yikes! my buddy lost a grand in roulette fast doing this. It was red 3x in a row so took black $20, then $40, then $80, then $160, then $320, then put his last 450 he had cause he didnt have a full 640 and lost every one. I was watching the blood bath first hand. Worst part is on the next roll it hit black lol. was a rough vegas trip for him lol. He donked off a grand before the girl even got back with his free drink. |
