I don't believe that shit. Proof it I say! But they couldn't until now.
So this whole thing is just a made up story imo.
This is of course does not mean that IS can use or is using Bitcoin. But it's not that effective for them.
They use good old cash, mostly USD, and of course the good old Banks!!

Considering that this information is correct... Now it is time to block the USD funds that the terrorists have been using from years to pay their members because this should be more effective ;)

YEah I don't believe it either. Hacked a bitcoin address? Sounds like bullshit.

Ghost Security could prove this (if it was real):

  • Publicise the transaction they used to steal the ISIS bitcoins
  • Sign a message from the address they confiscated the funds to

Except Ghost Security did neither of these things, because the whole story is probably invented.

The source NewsBTC says this note:
"Note: This article is just conveying the story published by the German news site Kopp Online, which lacked proof. We are investigating the case and attempting to contact GSG and Anonymous to clarify this story."

It might be fake or real but the truth is they doubled their visitors with that news. Other posts views range 3k-4k but this post is Post Views: 7,968.

So there is now a way to hack bitcoins? It is almost like in the movie Kung Fury when Hackerman hacked time :D I find it hard to believe without additional info.
Disclosure ISIS bitcoin addresses, publish transactions ID and show that GhostSec indeed has access to these ISISs bitcoins etc.
