Title: [WTS][CAN]Wondering if there are any interests for ZeusX3/Falcon Hashboards
Post by: VirosaGITS on November 23, 2015, 02:11:45 PM
The GAW Falcon was too much of a pain to ship, so i stripped it down for parts.

So i have up to 8 hashboards for sale, wondering if there is still an interest for those. I kept them on Heatsinks for now but it would probably be more cost effective to ship them without.

Not going to say they're in pristine condition, but they all hashed until i unplugged them.

Sorry to say it but they don't make money with even cheap electricity at the current LTC price. Thanks to the halving they are not going to make anything even at $.05 per Kwh. Then considering the fact that they are well used and could break down on me, and the PSU cost/wear and tear, I couldn't justify using these units even if you gave them to me for free with free shipping. Better to use my capacity on old btc mining gear that will at least give me a slight return for now. I hate to thread crap but these units are basically scrap... These units have gone the way of the old BFL singles, jalapenos, and such gear.

They're boards, not the miner anyways. So i'm not sure how all relevant all that is, but anyways. In term of ROI, if you have free electricity, its about similar as running a stock S1, but with faster ROI because they sell for less.

If you're afraid of wear and tear on 10 years warranty PSU, by running one for the 2 months you need to ROI, then i don't know what to tell you.

Almost all the PSUs I have are used 240V server units so if one fails I'm out the $ I paid for it. My electricity isn't free either so I guess its more an issue with my set up and anyone who pays for their electricity.

If someone does have free electricity and you cut them a great deal on these I can see the appeal. If they already own PSUs with a 10 year warranty then all the more reason to mine carefree. Hopefully someone meets this criteria and can take them off your hands, there probably is someone out there who will. I hate to see good working gear go to waste so I hope someone with capacity in need of cheap gear steps up. Its a shame that mining gear can get binned so quickly these days.

Not going to go as far as saying its "Good" Working Gear. Mining with them would be pretty inefficient, but it would be cheap. But i also wonder if someone will pick them up simply for salvage.

Not expecting the value of S1 boards, but i don't know exactly which components are worthwhile.

You should be able to under lock them with some work to the X6 efficiency. I have several models of these miners and the only difference I see is chip count and chip voltage.

These are still up for grabs, let me know if you got some interest in these, thanks!
