Is there a way to use only an alias instead of all those characters?

Yes, in order to login you will need your alias for blockchain and most other web wallets, because it is the most secure authentification method.
Alternatively tou can export the wallet file to use it on bitcoin core or any other downloaded wallet on your computer.

Account Settings ->
Look for
Quote
Alias (Optional)
An alias is short link which can be memorized for quick access to your account without needing to remember an identifier

Set the Alias.

Then instead of the long identifier uses the Alias you set.

Like this:

You can check your email if you want wallet identifier. Find 'blockchain' in your email.

Usually, after click wallet identifier you got email again to open blockchain account and then enter your password
