Title: Post count for member is "leet" what does this mean?
Post by: jt byte on November 26, 2015, 01:27:17 AM
I noticed that the post count for a member here is not showing a numeric value but the word "leet" instead. Is this the forum equivalent to an odometer on the car going over it's allowable counted limit on the system?
Here is the hero member that I noticed this on:
http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=29498

Strange isn't it? Haven't seen this for any other member here. Or does a person have to ask to have that changed to something of their choosing? Maybe a hidden option in the profile settings?

I know what Leet speak is. I just wanted to know if it is valid in the forum or not.
We are not entitled enough to be elite around here only a selected few.  :D

It's kinda a easter egg on the forum.  If you see it yes it's valid.

It's not a entitled few or being special.  Everyone can hit it with 1337 which it shows as leet.  Normally it does not last long as one more post and he loses it.

It's just when someone has 1337 posts and it's referred to as leet speak on the internet. Leet speak is just like typ1ng w1t4 numb3r5 1n5t3ad. It gets a bit annoying to me though.

Loads more easter eggs are on the forum, another one of them, similar post count thing(which no one has achieved yet) ask shorena for details seems if you have 100,000+ posts it shows your post count as "I'm a geek!!!!". One more that I know is put your birthdate as today(any year) and see what happens.
Edit : Some bonus features not necessarily easter eggs:
