So what's going on , just yesterday when I came back form school I checked preev and it was like 325$ or something like that , and now I checked once again and the price seem to be 360$~ .
In your opinion , what exactly caused this ? and is it going to continue like it did before till it reach 500$ or something near that .

I didn't expect that to happen yet but the only possible reason I see is that increase in demand in terms of more users buying BTCitcoin for the event tomorrow so they could snatch some great deals using BTCitcoins so it could decrease after it. Also I did a research in case there's something but couldn't find anything that points directly. I also didn't expect this sudden price increase. I really hope this is not another hot air pump that will vanish after a week or so. That would be sad.

There is definitely a reason behind this madness, which I can not share.

We settled about 100$ higher after the last 'hot air' pump, that's not that bad.

Yes we need to get satisfied after the last bump for getting some $100 hike with the stable in bitcoin price range. That must be a biggest leap if we consider last 10 months of bitcoin trading. Hope for same thing happen again with this current bump also.

Not sure if this will contue a one day event won't have that big of an impact for btc it may reach $400
But it won't pass $500.

~357$ now in preev but I should say that I didn't expect the bitcoin price to reach 350$ in November.
I read yesterday that a spike happened on the Chinese exchanges, don't know if this has a relation with it.

All the talk about black Friday and huge savings for people buying with bitcoins would be my guess.

The current rise in price will definitely stimulate people to spend their coins more actively on black friday and even on cyber monday. 10% rise today means you can buy 10% more with the same amount of coins. That's amazing isn't it? 10% more purchasing power, and maybe even more if the price keeps going up.

Just got home and saw this, great! I think that could be influence of that black Friday event, just hope merchants will not dump all coins right after.

It is beginning of new trend price will go up and i am sure we will see $400 before end of this month as still some bullish sign exist there so just wait and hold for great future.

no one can predict the price of bitcoin, in fact today bitcoin go so quickly to $360. whereas my previous prediction prices will stable at $320.

It seems most likely that people are buying in for black friday. However, it also means that we may get a new floor set which will be nice.

I was expecting this to happen at start of December but this has sudden rise any way this good and I am not wonder.Bitcoin's price was under valued and this will take the price to it right value in recent speculation.

most likely the price is increasing not because for that exactly reason but for the hype around the fact that everyone was expecting it to increase

Price is increasing as expectation because it is still low at the moment i think at this stage minimum must be over $400 and i am hopeful about this we will get this very soon as like it is increasing.

I am sure about $400 and this time with current rising it will reach easily without any serious resistance, it looking there is very great chance to go over more high than $400.

That is good sign as price is increasing and good sign are still and we have so many green signals for $500 and i am hopeful about this. ;D

Probably just a pump again. The trading volume will rise, price will go up and then fall down again.

It seemed to hit a leveling point for a bit, well see what happens I am hoping for that as well

i had just see the price and $350 currently it mean more than 7% increase today i think this is good news and probably tomorrow the price will reach to $400

If you look around you will see a lot of posts floating about the same around the forum.Its quite obvious the sale of Black Friday is the main reason for the change.Although the prices will be falling down as soon as the market is over I guess but this is a good time for fiat transfers .

Looks like a spike to $370 and back to a down trend.

The price goes down,currently on Bitstamp is 341$.It looks like we're back to 300-330$,or pump is not finished yet?

Now the price is ~344$, i think this round isn't finished yet, but i agree that finally the price will likely return to 325 +/- 15$ as it was before.

I agree with some of the others, could be down to bitcoin black Friday and finding discounts with bitcoin payments although if it is because of this chances are that it will fall back down come the weekend.

Maybe it's because we are almost at the end of the year and everyone wants some BTC.
The days are also shorter and people spend more time behind there computer than in the summer and so there are more orders.

it has probably to do with the black friday pump people were waiting for. it feels good to see the price go up this much in just a day. i hope we manage to set a floor at $350 these days.

Nobody can answer this 100%. We can only speculate and we will know surely in few days but we might not even find it out. We still don't know what has caused the last pump either.

It might be only more demand!

Certainly didn't expect this ... ! $45 up in just one day is pretty significant. Too bad I wasn't online the previous hours and thus missed a nice oppertunity to earn some crypto/fiat. Seems like the 'rollercoaster' hasn't finished just yet.

Today was the surge but trying to keep this achievement failed unfortunately. Waiting for what will happen tomorrow for all anticipated Friday coming up.

Yeah, what's going on; we were trading at over 1000$, after which there seamed to be nothing but a year and a half of nothing but downtrend ?
It surprises me that people still get surprised by these somewhat low tanks of the price, when it is a natural thing to happen, given the facts of bitcoin structure and recent global interest..

But for those who like TA....go check out the nice big fucking W formed on the dip....especially so on the CNY exchanges, (Huobi ignited this ramp). 1 Day MACD is point UP, other 1 Day momentum indicators are erect, and growing....$370 (38.2% retrace) is very likely to be breached, and if u go by Fib Levels, then the 61.8% is up at $420.

Either way Bitcoinblackfriday is only a little bit away now so I am glad for the price increase as it gives me a chance at a better deal :)

From the minute I made this topic , the price started to go down and down and now it's back to 351$ , for a second I thought it some kind of market manipulation which I hope it's not .

Thanksgiving and black friday. That's what's going on. Whales pumping so they exit a lil bit later on a higher price, before retailers start exiting. They will be buying much cheaper after this weekend.

I'm curious to see what today, black friday will bring.

We went up a bunch for 1 day yesterday, which was thanksgiving. We'll just have to wait and see what today will bring us.

Hasn't affected much as for now .Still waiting for first major peak of the day! So far its been all right however I expected it to cross $400 by now .Let's hope for the best .

Probably a pump caused by the nearing black friday event. Looking from the previous charts, this scenario happened too, only to be followed by a dump after the event.

As long as you have made a profit, then there is nothing to worry about. I had sold some coins at $365 during the previous rally. The price then went to $500 shortly after me selling at $365 :D

And this, my friends, is why I like holding bitcoin.  You don't need to play digital slot machines or any of that other garbage as long as you just own some btc.  The volatility--sometimes--is astounding.  Yes, we've been stuck in a range for a while now but you just can't beat the price swings for your weekly entertainment. 

On the other hand, this is why btc sucks as a currency.   >:(

I actually predict that the price of Bitcoin would increase during this holiday season because of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Well, the reason might not be right but I still predicted that the price increase. Was kind of shock to see that Bitcoin increase from 330 USD to 356 USD yesterday night. Good to see that it is staying at 360.0 USD at preev.com now. I hope that it will stay at this rate and not increase anymore*.

Gotta make some Bitcoin before my campaign drop rates again ... LoL!

Guys, black friday is here, not much is happening right now though.

The past week I've seen post about this black friday hype, I still have to see what that was all about.

I'm glad it went up yesterday, not by much but i'm satisfied. Anything going up is good.

Yes this could be the reason. People buy Bitcoin to spend it on black friday. Right now price has increased because of that. And when people spend this coins andit gets converted back into dollars, euro by merchants and also the traders who might take advantage of that event and also dump some of their coins, price will drop again. In the end it will be zero sum game I believe. No big gains but also no big loss regarding the chart.

there is always money to be made with signature campaigns, don't worry. you are right when it comes to signature campaigns decreasing pay rates when the price is only going up. they are finding the right balance between reward in btc and the fiat value of it. you'll most likely ending up getting the same amount in fiat, but with less btc with every pay out :)

The price is as if it rests on the invisible line and bounces back. The near future price behavior of bitcoin is not completely clear and predictable.

Hahaha yeah that is really good, but some people wanted to buy some bitcoins and now is realy expensive.

Bitcoin isn't really expensive. It might look like so for the moment, but it's more than a solid investment for people who are willing to hold their coins for the long term.

I didn't even know why the price suddenly spiked like that either. The mining difficulty news would of course be a defining factor in this increase and the holiday spending would be another. Sort of like a snow ball effect going on here. The perfect storm if you will and end of November is where the eye of it is.

If we would know what's going on we become rich, but we're still in this forum. So nobody knows. :D

The price rise could just be a blip. It will come down soon. Nobody knows the reason for the quick rise.

Nope dude he is right. I was seeing yesterday morning it was around $325 and after evening I checked the price It was 359$. As per current time now 359.09$ for 1 BTC. Actually this is good growth and expecting more to increase

Probably some of the holiday bonuses are coming and people wanted to save up btcs to prepare for the halving. Besides the holidays I can't think of other reasons why the demand would be high.

Whenever I see one of these jumps I ask myself when are we going to see the big one, beginning of a halving rewards rush. Cause we will see it soon. I expect between 2k-3k per BTC by this summer.

I think the BlackFriday works also for the Bitcoin because lot of People actually do Payments over the Internet with BTC.
Also the actuall Hasrate drops a lot - I think a lot of Engines had Turn of because of the effeciency of others, maybe.  ;D

I don't expect the price to move very much to the upside in what reminds of this year. I think we already saw the top this year ($502).
The price should stabilise around $350 and that means we may see some movements up and down (volatility), but we should be range-bounded.
It is not yet the time to get excited, but we are getting close.

Can we first reach $1000 before dreaming about $2000-$3000 prices? The halving will surely cause a great rally, but it has to be seen if we end up at a price near $1000 or even over it.

I wish the price to rise very slowly, maybe 5% a month. So the volatility will be low. This is good for adoption.

Yep. This is a good idea. Rather than the sky rocket increase. It would be best for it to progress slowly. That way the market can accommodate the change.

Whenever there is a big pump, there will will be big dump. Price stability will help the adoptoin of bitcoin.

As said the dumping and getting sudden pumping in the price is the nature of bitcoin. This is the key factor on which the bitcoin is getting large number of adoptions than the other alternative cryptcurrencies.

You just have to wait and see for what is going to happen. I hope that it will rise as long as possible.
But you never know what can happen indeed. But you can look now and you see that the value is rising. So that is very good.

I think that it will rise soon. And I hope that it will happen for a long time so that will be very good for those people who made an investment.
But it is hard to say for what is going to happen in the future and that is not good. You must to take the risks.
