No matter which drugs our government and Federal Reserve offer the financial system, business cycles just happen. Recessions act to clear the financial system of the excesses and lead to reallocation of capital.

Sure, we saved Bank of America and Citibank, but Dwolla, Square, Angellist, Strype, Bitcoin and many thousands of startups in the financial sector were created by entrepreneurs and investors fed up with a broken system.

Well it did say 'and many startups' not 'and many other startups' - so while it's sort of implied, strictly speaking they didn't call bitcoin, strype etc startups.
