I have never personally bought bitcoins with a gift card though. I've heard of purse.io as the previous poster mentioned but have never tried it. I'd personally avoid doing peer-to-peer trades via the forums unless you find someone well trusted. Even then, if you have no previous trade history, it might be difficult for you. But be aware that the resell price is very low and hence you can only sell for around 80% of the original price provided that you bought it with cash and have the receipt (for most cases). Otherwise, localbitcoins have several people trading gift cards for Bitcoin but same condition applies.
